ELCO Soccer Players Complete Spanish Tour
For the past two weeks, twenty members of the ELCO United Girls Soccer Program were on a multi-city tour of Spain. Their itinerary was jam-packed with training, competition against their Spanish peers, sightseeing, and lots of fun. The tour took the globetrotters to Alcala de Hernares, Madrid, Segovia, Valencia, Barcelona, Tossa De Mar, and Girona. While they certainly picked up skills that will benefit their development, what may have a far more significant impact is the camaraderie this group has built. The fantastic experience will undoubtedly pay dividends as they compete together at the high school level. (Published 6/22 @ 10 pm)

Coach Bare Hits Milestone in Long-Term Pursuit
In 1985, Rob Bare, the legendary Cedar Crest Track & Field Coach, set a goal to run 50,000 miles. We first reported on his journey in January 2023, when he crossed the 47,000 mark on his personal odometer. While running with the 717 Run Club on the Lebanon County Rails Trails on Sunday, June 16th, Bare used an eight-mile trek to break through the 49,000 mark. He now plans to hit his ultimate goal of 50,000 next Spring. We wish Coach Bare all the best as he closes in on the goal he set 39 years ago.
