Lancaster Catholic 13, Annville-Cleona 3 [F/6]
The Little Dutchmen raced out to a 2-0 lead on a 1st inning RBI double by Jack Getty and a bases-loaded walk by Preston Bomgardner. Unfortunately, the hitters that makeup Lancaster Catholic’s high-powered offense were too much to handle. The Crusaders scored five in the Bottom 1st and four more in the 3rd to take control of the game. The game ended when the Crusaders scored in the Bottom 6th to put the mercy rule into effect. This may have offered some type of satisfaction for the same Catholic team that was bounced from Districts by Annville-Cleona in 2023.
Annville-Cleona (4-1 overall, 1-1 Section 4) will host Pequea Valley on Tuesday before visiting Lancaster Mennonite on Wednesday and Northern Lebanon on Friday.
Northern Lebanon 14, Lancaster Mennonite 3 [F/5]
On a cold and windy night under the lights, the Vikings pounded Mennonite behind two hit, two RBI games from Wyatt Bates, Adrian Gonzalez, and Levi Shoemaker. Gonzalez and Shoemaker each had a double in the game. Bates picked up the win on the mound, pitching the first four innings to earn his first career victory, and Lucas Kleisath closed it out for Northern Lebanon.
Moises Gonzalez also doubled. Through five games, he has been lights out, batting .556 with a .619 OBP and a slugging % of 1.444. He has 12 RBI that have come off of one double, three triples, and three home runs.
With their second win section win in as many days, the Vikings sit atop Section 4 (2-0, 4-1 overall) with upcoming games at Columbia (Monday) and home with Pequea Valley (Wednesday) and Annville-Cleona (Friday).

Cocalico 5, ELCO 4 [F/9]
Despite an outstanding six-inning outing from pitcher Gavin Bicher and a three-run 6th, ELCO’s bullpen could not hold off the pesky bunch from Cocalico. After forcing extra innings, Cocalico was able to win it in nine innings.
Senior Dallas George had one of his two hits in the 6th when he drove in two runs to put the Raiders ahead, 4-3. Bicher added two hits in the game.
ELCO is now 1-2 overall and 0-1 in section play. The Raiders return to action at Garden Spot (Tuesday) and Manheim Central at home (Wednesday) before making the trek to Octorara (Friday).
Northern Lebanon 10, Lancaster Catholic 3
Skipper Travis Thome’s Vikings won a “statement game” on Friday, soundly defeating Lancaster Catholic. Junior Brian Bicksler tossed a complete game, scattering five hits over seven innings, and allowed three earned runs. Senior Moises Gonzalez continued his offensive tear, with a 3-4 day that included two triples and 3 RBI. Shortstop Andrew Via had a four-hit day, while Levi Shoemaker and Connor Stoltz each had a pair of RBI.
Northern Lebanon (3-1, 1-0) travels to Lancaster Mennonite on Saturday, before visiting Columbia on Monday.
Manheim Township 10, Cedar Crest 8
Falcon pitching doled out eight free passes and the defense had five errors, but Cedar Crest hung around with Manheim Township, eventually falling 10-8. The Falcon offense touched up the Blue Streaks starter for six earned runs, led by brothers Carson DiBiaso (2-3 with a two-run double) and Dayton DiBiaso (1-2 with an RBI and two runs scored). Junior Aaron Krumbine tossed a scoreless inning of relief, striking out two.
Cedar Crest is 0-1 in section one and 3-1 overall. The Falcons will now have to run a gauntlet next week beginning Monday going back-to-back-to-back with Hempfield, Penn Manor, and JP McCaskey. They will then finish Friday with a matchup against Warwick.
Elizabethtown 11, Lebanon 1 [F/5]
The Elizabethtown Bears fired a no-hitter against Lebanon in a run-rule shortened game. David Furjanic reached on a fielder’s choice and scored on a bases loaded walk to Diego Serrano.
The Cedars drop to 0-1 in section play and 0-4 overall. They wull face Conestoga Valley on Saturday before traveling to Ephrata on Monday.

Palmyra 2, Lower Dauphin 1
Chase Blanchard’s 1st inning home run was all the Cougars needed to defeat Lower Dauphin on Thursday evening. The two-run shot scored Aiden Willard, who had the only other Palmyra hit in the game. Logan Kriner pitched 4.1 innings, striking out five batters while giving up one earned run. Braydon Bown finished the final 2.2 innings, keeping the Falcons off the board the rest of the way. The sophomore pitching duo combined to scatter seven hits.
Palmyra (3-1) will play again on Tuesday when it hosts West York in a non-league match-up.
