Paquette, Brown Power Cedar Crest Past Eastern York for Second Straight Win
After snapping a two-game losing streak with last Thursday’s 16-9 home win over Warwick, Cedar Crest was back on its home field Monday looking to keep the momentum going against Eastern York. The Falcons did just that, rolling to a 23-6 victory to improve to 4-2 on the season and put themselves in position to chase a third straight win later this week.
Offensively, Bella Paquette once again turned in a monster performance for Cedar Crest, finishing with 5 goals and 6 assists while also controlling 8 draws. Samantha Brown was just as dangerous, pouring in 6 goals to go with 2 assists, while Avery Lechleitner added 5 goals and 7 draw controls as the Falcons overwhelmed Eastern York with a relentless attack.
Cedar Crest also got scoring contributions from Star Simaska, who scored 2 goals, along with Addi Davis, Rileigh Lightner, Addie Fulkerson, Regan Graupensperger, and Bailey Snyder, who all found the back of the cage once. The Falcons finished with 30 shots and piled up 13 assists on their 23 goals, a sign of just how sharp and balanced they were throughout the afternoon.
On the defensive end, Cedar Crest allowed just 13 shots and got 7 saves from Viola Bierman in goal. The Falcons also dominated the possession battle, owning a 20-0 edge in draw control wins, which helped Eastern York gain very little traction.
Cedar Crest is now 4-2. The Falcons will look to make it three in a row when they hit the road to face Cocalico.
