District 3 Power Rankings Update – January 1, 2024

This is a brief look at where each of the LebCo teams rank in the Power Rankings.  There may sometimes be a lag in some of the Power Rankings, but this should give you an idea as to where each LebCo Basketball and Wrestling team currently stands as they enter 2024.

Below the rankings for each team is an ordered list of the rankings of each LebCo team in Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball. That ranking is based on the District 3 Power Rank rating assigned to each team.

Girls Basketball LebCo Power Rankings

There was a shakeup this week, as Lebanon hosted Northern Lebanon and Palmyra at their Holiday Tournament. The Cedars won the tournament, with the other two teams splitting their contests. Cedar Crest left Lower Dauphin with a tournament championship, while Annville and ELCO each went 1-1 in their respective tournaments. The local rankings may shake up further this week, as Lebanon will face Cedar Crest and ELCO will battle Northern Lebanon. (Girls Basketball Results Tracker: December 27-29)

Boys Basketball LebCo Power Rankings

This week’s rankings of LebCo teams are unchanged, as Cedar Crest went 2-0 to retain the top spot. Annville-Cleona, ELCO, and Northern Lebanon each went 1-1 in tournament play, as did Palmyra, outlasting Lebanon in double overtime. New Covenant was off.
