Lebanon Hosts a Block Party

BY ABIGAIL SWANSON

The Lebanon girls’ basketball team played a physical battle against Ephrata on Thursday night. Lebanon Cedars scored 49 points with Ephrata Mountaineers following behind with 42 points.

The Cedars’ interior defense was their strength. The Mountaineers struggled to put up points in the paint due to persistent blocking led by Lebanon’s Lili Harrison and supported by teammate Dorthie Zechman.

Kailah Correa led the Cedars scoring with 17 points. The Cedars trailed the Mountaineers multiple times in the first half, but controlled the game in the second half.

The Mountaineers were led in scoring by Jasmine Griffin with 17 points.

The lady Cedars will compete next on December 18th at Reading.
