Cedar Crest 69, Lebanon 0
Cedar Crest continued its dominant start to the 2026 season Thursday night, defeating Lebanon 69-0 in the 54th annual Cedar Bowl. The victory marked the Falcons’ 14th straight Cedar Bowl win and moved Cedar Crest to 2-0 on the season.
After opening the year with a 45-12 victory over Central Dauphin East, Cedar Crest entered the rivalry matchup with plenty of momentum. Lebanon, meanwhile, was looking to regroup after a 55-0 loss to Daniel Boone in Week 1. The Falcons wasted little time establishing control and never allowed the Cedars to find an answer.
Cedar Crest kicked off to begin the game, but the Falcons quickly got the ball back when Lebanon fumbled. Isaiah Zimmerman capitalized on the early opportunity, finding the end zone on a six-yard touchdown run to put the Falcons ahead 7-0.
Steven Reyes then connected with Jackson Smith on a 66-yard touchdown pass, extending the advantage to 14-0. Lebanon’s Chris Robles provided a spark with a strong return, but Cedar Crest’s defense responded by shutting down the Cedars’ ensuing opportunity. Zimmerman then found the end zone again, giving him his sixth touchdown of the season and pushing the Falcons ahead 21-0.
Lebanon’s struggles continued when the Cedars fumbled a punt and recovered, but the ball remained deep in their own territory. Cedar Crest took advantage, with Mason Cevette hauling in a 15-yard touchdown pass to make it 28-0.
The Falcons’ defense continued to make life difficult for the Cedars. Griffin Schomp and Garrett Starry each collected sacks as Lebanon tried to generate something offensively. On the other side, Zimmerman found the end zone again as Cedar Crest continued its early scoring barrage, making it 35-0.
Lebanon attempted to take a deep shot on its next opportunity, but the Cedars turned the ball over on downs. Cedar Crest immediately capitalized, with Kai Speaks catching a 26-yard touchdown pass to make it 42-0 heading into the second quarter.
Lebanon continued to battle despite the deficit. Zyair Molyneux made a strong open-field tackle, but the Cedars were unable to generate sustained offense. Reyes then connected with Antonio Tirado on a 64-yard touchdown pass, pushing the Falcons ahead 49-0.
Cedar Crest began working its backups into the game as the second half approached. Ben Danz checked in for Reyes and immediately made an impact, keeping the ball himself for a 31-yard touchdown run that extended the lead to 56-0.
Lebanon continued to show perseverance despite the lopsided score. Jafthy Alicea put together a strong run, but Cedar Crest’s defense answered when Ben Garland intercepted a pass to end the Cedars’ possession.
With the second half underway, the clock began running outside of timeouts. Jewelz Hernandez joined the scoring effort for Cedar Crest, breaking loose for a nine-yard touchdown run to make it 63-0.
The Cedars finally produced one of their biggest offensive plays of the night when Robles broke free for a 40-yard run, taking Lebanon into Falcons territory for the first time in the game. The drive ultimately ended on a turnover on downs, however, and Cedar Crest responded once again. James Smith finished the ensuing opportunity with a two-yard touchdown run, giving the Falcons the final 69-0 margin.
The victory moves Cedar Crest to 2-0 on the season and continues a dominant opening stretch for a Falcons team that reached the District 3 Class 6A playoffs last season. Lebanon falls to 0-2, with both teams now turning their attention toward Week 3. Cedar Crest will travel to face Warwick, while Lebanon will return home to host Reading.
Biglerville 0, Annville-Cleona 46
Annville-Cleona returned home looking to put last week’s difficult road loss at Hanover behind it. Biglerville entered the matchup 0-1 after falling to Bermudian Springs in Week 1, while the Dutchmen were looking for their first win of the season in front of their home crowd.
The Dutchmen wasted little time setting the tone. Biglerville won the toss and deferred, giving A-C the opening possession, and Yama Navarro provided excellent field position with a kickoff return to the 50-yard line. Annville-Cleona capitalized on the opportunity, scoring at 10:17 of the first quarter to take a 6-0 lead.
Biglerville took over at its own 17 following the score, but a facemask penalty against A-C moved the Canners to the 37. The Dutchmen defense answered when Dom Nash intercepted Biglerville, giving A-C the ball at the Canners’ 27-yard line. Englehart then powered his way into the end zone to extend the lead to 12-0.
The Dutchmen defense continued to control the game, stuffing Biglerville on fourth down and taking over at its own 38-yard line. Annville-Cleona turned the stop into another scoring drive, with Navarro finding the end zone again at 9:59 of the second quarter to make it 18-0.
Biglerville attempted to respond, moving the ball to the A-C 28-yard line with around seven minutes remaining in the half. Facing fourth-and-12, the Canners called timeout before the play, but Maddox White came away with an interception to give Annville-Cleona its third pick of the first half.
The Dutchmen carried an 18-0 advantage into halftime, and the defense continued to make life difficult for Biglerville after the break.
Annville-Cleona pulled further away in the second half as Devo found the end zone multiple times. His touchdown with 10:51 remaining in the fourth quarter pushed the Dutchmen advantage to 39-0.
Biglerville’s next possession ended almost immediately when the Canners fumbled on the first play. A-C recovered at the Biglerville 29 and turned the takeaway into another scoring opportunity. The Dutchmen eventually reached first-and-goal at the five-yard line, where Bennett Putt scored his first career touchdown with 8:54 remaining, extending the lead to 46-0.
With the game firmly in hand, Annville-Cleona turned things over to its backups for the remainder of the fourth quarter. The Dutchmen defense preserved the shutout, capping a dominant performance that featured multiple takeaways.
The 46-0 victory gives Annville-Cleona its first win of the season after opening the year with a loss at Hanover. The Dutchmen will look to carry the momentum into next week’s matchup with Donegal.
