Lechleitner Powers Falcons Past Penn Manor

Cedar Crest saw its four-game win streak come to an end on Monday with a loss to powerhouse Manheim Township, but the Falcons did not let that setback linger for long. On Wednesday night, Cedar Crest hit the road and earned a 10-7 win over Penn Manor, improving to 13-4 with just one regular season game remaining.

Avery Lechleitner led the Falcons’ attack with five goals, helping Cedar Crest create enough separation in a tight road matchup. Samantha Brown added two goals, giving the Falcons another key scoring option as they worked to regain momentum ahead of the postseason.

Cedar Crest also got goals from Addi Davis, Bella Paquette, and Alex Jones. Paquette played a major role in keeping the offense connected, finishing with one goal and three assists as the Falcons generated 26 shots.

Defensively, Vi Bierman made 10 saves in goal, helping Cedar Crest hold off Penn Manor despite the Comets winning the draw-control battle 13-8. Penn Manor was led by Joelle Kroesen, who scored five goals, while Makenzie Wolpertmade 11 saves.

Cedar Crest (13-4) will finish the regular season Thursday with a road game at Lancaster Country Day.
