Northern Lebanon Sweeps Kutztown on the Road

Looking to reverse the trend after dropping three straight following its season-opening win over Antietam, Northern Lebanon got the response it needed Monday night. The Vikings went on the road to Kutztown and earned a straight-set 3-0 victory, winning by scores of 25-21, 25-15, and 25-16.

After a competitive opening set, Northern Lebanon settled in and took control of the match. The Vikings edged out Kutztown 25-21 in the 1st set, then found another gear over the final two sets.

With the momentum on their side, Northern Lebanon pulled away in the 2nd set for a 25-15 win and carried that same energy into the 3rd. The Vikings closed out the sweep with a 25-16 victory to pick up their second win of the season.

Peyton Ream led the way with 18 kills and 6 digs. Justin Gonzalez-Luna directed the offense with 29 assists, while Carlos Polanco added 2 aces and Anthony Wise finished with 2 blocks.

With the win, Northern Lebanon improved to 2-3 on the season. The Vikings will look to get back to .500 on Tuesday when they host Lancaster Mennonite.
