Annville-Cleona Has Strong Showing at Tim Cook Invite

Annville-Cleona competed in a 36-team field Saturday at the Tim Cook Invitational at Chambersburg High School and turned in a strong overall performance against deep competition from around the region. The Dutchmen were highlighted by David Moran, Dominic Wentling, Anabella Pulaski, and Mackenzie Stellmach.

Girls Results

The Annville-Cleona girls were led by senior Mackenzie Stellmach, who turned in one of the team’s top performances with a 4th-place finish in the 3200 meter run in 12:07.32. Anabella Pulaski, a junior,  matched that finish in the javelin, placing 4th with a throw of 102’8″. Together, they gave the Dutchmen a pair of top-four finishes in a loaded invitational field.

Annville-Cleona also picked up a top-10 relay result from the girls 4×800 team, which placed 8th in 10:46.69. Caitlin Shay added another strong finish by taking 9th in the pole vault at 7’6″.

The Dutchmen showed good depth in the distance events as well. Lucy Stellmach placed 12th in the 3200, Paige Stoltzcame in 25th in the 800 and 30th in the 1600, Bridget Funck was 28th in the 800, and Leah Rotunda finished 29th in the 1600. In the field events, Georgia Sellers took 13th in the long jump, while Madison Long was 15th in the long jump and 13th in the triple jump.

Boys Results

The Annville-Cleona boys were paced by David Moran, who earned silver in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:57.78. The senior, who won the 2025 PIAA AA state title in the event, finished second only to Carlisle’s Kolbin Heberlig in one of the meet’s most competitive races.

Sophomore Dominic Wentling also delivered a standout performance, earning bronze in the discus with a throw of 147’8″. He finished behind only Danville Area’s Troy Raup and Solanco’s Frank Lucarino, giving Annville-Cleona another podium finish against a strong field.

The Dutchmen also got a big day from Oliver Funck, who placed 7th in the 1600 meter run and 5th in the 3200. Luke Wentling added a 9th-place finish in the javelin, while both the 4×400 and 4×800 relays also turned in 9th-place efforts. Luke Tshudy placed 14th in the pole vault, Hudson Sellers was 14th in the shot put, and Ben Allwein finished 17th in the high jump.
