New Covenant Rallies Back for Thrilling 5-Set Home Win Over Millersburg

New Covenant earned a hard-fought 3-2 home win over Millersburg on Thursday, outlasting the visitors by scores of 25-20, 22-25, 21-25, 25-21, and 15-12.

After taking the opening set, the Flames had to respond when Millersburg grabbed the next two.

New Covenant answered in the 4th set to force a deciding 5th, then finished the job at home to secure the victory.

Ryan Delvalle led the Flames with 15 kills and also added 16 assists, while Sam Rotunda finished with 19 assists. Nate Barnhart added 8 kills, Kadden Kantner recorded 7 kills, Lincoln Good contributed 5 kills, and Josiah Martinchipped in 3 kills. Jesse Barnhart paced New Covenant from the service line with 4 aces.

With the win, New Covenant improved to 3-1 on the season. The Flames will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to face Hershey.
