Northern Lebanon Girls Basketball Season Outlook
Northern Lebanon enters the 2024–25 season coming off a 24–6 campaign, which included a third-place finish in the District 3 Tournament and a trip to the State Quarterfinals (4A). The Vikings graduated Olivia Shutter, their leading scorer who eclipsed the 1,000-point mark and is now playing at York College, but return a strong core of veterans.
The starting four seniors—Saoirse Phillips, Hayley Sheroky, Kasey Weimer, and Mac Miller—have been key pieces of Northern Lebanon’s success since their freshman season, providing leadership, skill, and poise in big moments. Juniors Zeah Zerman and Isabella Battistelli add versatility and scoring depth, while rising contributors Ryleigh Hopkins and Izzy Tavani bring athleticism and fresh energy to the rotation.
Under the guidance of 19th-year head coach Ken Battistelli, known for consistently finding ways to get more out of his players and helping them overcome tough situations to secure victories, the Vikings are expected to play hard for all 32 minutes. With diversified scoring and strong team defense, Northern Lebanon enters the season aiming to compete at every level—section, league, district, and state tournaments—while building on last year’s deep playoff run.
