#1 Palmyra 4, #9 Northern York 0 (5A)
After going a perfect 20-0 during the regular season, the Cougars were back in action on Monday to begin the postseason, going Northern York in the PIAA District 3 (5A) Quarterfinals.
In the Bottom 1st, Ty Peck did what Ty Peck does, getting the scoring started with a solo shot over the left-field fence. Peck’s 7th home run of the year gave the Cougars the early 1-0 lead.
In the Bottom 3rd, Alex Dorta would hit an RBI single that scored Adam Strohecker as Palmyra took a 2-0 lead.
In the 4th, Adam Strohecker singled to score Aiden Willard and Dacion Hutchinson.
With another dazzling pitching performance, the 4-0 buffer was all Palmyra would need to leave with the victory. Jonathan Strohecker pitched all 7 innings, allowing only 2 hits and a walk. He recorded 13 Ks in what was an efficient 86-pitch performance.
The Cougars (21-0) have now clinched a State Playoff berth. They will now face #12 Conestoga Valley in Thursday’s Semifinal.

#7 West Perry 2, #2 Northern Lebanon 0. (4A)
Adrian Gonzalez pitched all 7 innings for the Vikings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4 batters. He was also 2-2 with a walk.
Unfortunately, the Mustang pitching proved to be too much, as Northern Lebanon could not get much else going.
Northern Lebanon finished the season with a record of 18-4.
