Details: Defense for the Lady Cougars was strong to start the season. Mollie White led the Cougars on the mound with 8 strikeouts and the defense made key outs throughout the game. Palmyra scored their first run of the game in the first inning by Emily Cutman earning a walk and being scored on a line drive single to center field by Kate Shenk. In the fourth inning, Emily Cutman hits a two run single which is followed by a 3-run homerun by Mollie White. Mollie White led the Cougar offense going 3 for 3 with 5 RBI and a homerun.
