Falcons Stay Hot in Rain-Soaked Win Over Conestoga Valley

Rainy conditions did little to slow Cedar Crest on Wednesday night, as the Falcons hosted Conestoga Valley while riding a three-game winning streak and continuing their recent climb in the District 3 Power Rankings. Cedar Crest kept that momentum going with a 14-3 league win, improving to 12-3 on the season.

Avery Lechleitner, Samantha Brown, and Bella Paquette led the Cedar Crest attack with three goals each, giving the Falcons a strong finishing presence from multiple spots on the field. Paquette also played a major role as a distributor, finishing with a team-high five assists.

Addie Fulkerson added two goals and one assist, while Laney Snavely, Regan Graupensperger, and Alex Jones each scored once to help round out a balanced offensive effort. Eva Zimmerman added two assists, while Olivia Ryland also had an assist as Cedar Crest finished with 12 assists on its 14 goals.

Defensively, Cedar Crest limited Conestoga Valley to three goals and nine shots. In goal, Vi Bierman and Phoebe Smithcombined for six saves, with Bierman allowing just one goal and Smith making five saves while allowing two. For Conestoga Valley, Caroline Janvrin, Jhana Tlumach, and Madison Wolfe each scored, while goalie Kayleigh Brooksmade five saves.

Cedar Crest will now have off until Monday, when the Falcons travel for a very tough road matchup against Manheim Township. However, with Cedar Crest playing very well right now, don’t be surprised to see a close game against the Blue Streaks.
