Falcons Race Past Ephrata for Third Straight Victory
Entering Monday’s home game against Ephrata, Cedar Crest had won eight of its last nine games, including Saturday’s big Lebanon County rivalry win over Palmyra. The Falcons kept that momentum going, using another balanced offensive effort to roll past the Mounts 18-4 in Lancaster-Lebanon League play.
Bella Paquette led the way for Cedar Crest with a huge all-around performance, finishing with six goals and four assists. Avery Lechleitner added three goals and two assists, giving the Falcons two major offensive engines in a game where they controlled possession and created consistent pressure.
Addie Fulkerson, Samantha Brown, and Star Simaska each scored twice, while Addi Davis, Laney Snavely, and Rileigh Lightner each added one goal. Snavely, Fulkerson, and Alex Jones also recorded assists as Cedar Crest continued to spread the ball around.
Defensively, the Falcons limited Ephrata to just five shots while allowing only four goals. Vi Bierman made one save in goal for Cedar Crest, while Ephrata goalie Delaney Montgomery was busy throughout the game, finishing with 11 saves.
Cedar Crest (11-3) will look for its fourth straight win when it hosts Conestoga Valley on Wednesday.
