18 Lebanon County Wrestlers made the podium

Palmyra 53, Pottsville 39 (The Cougars were led by Hank Roesch’s 15 points, along with Eli Becker and Alex Dorta who each scored 14; Record: 10-9, will host Lower Dauphin on Tuesday)

Lancaster Lebanon League Championships

11 Lebanon County wrestlers have qualified for the semifinals in their respective weight classes.  The qualifiers are listed below by school:

Northern Lebanon: Aaron Seidel, Sam Wolford, Owen Lehman, Conor Leonard, Clayton Erb, Hayden Adams

ELCO: Ashton Kriss, Elias Krow, Kyle Miller

Lebanon: Griffin Gonzalez

Annville-Cleona: Cael Harter

Cocalico 7, ELCO 0 (ELCO’s Morgan Kline led all bowlers with a 689 series, going 226-226-237, which were the top three games of the day) Box Score

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lebanon 66, Cedar Crest 64 3OT (For the Cedars, Kailah Correa scored 29, with Liliana Harrison scoring 16. Clutch free throws by Zariyah Whigham & Olive Brandt in the 3rd extra frame helped to end it; For the Falcons, Kaila Francis & Allie Metzgar each scored 22; Lebanon clinched Section 1 title while moving to 17-0) Box Score

ELCO 40, Northern Lebanon 37 (Senior Sam Nelson led the Raiders with 11 points, while Madelyn Stout added 9; The Vikings were led by Olivia Shutter who scored 20; ELCO [8-10] will host Lancaster Catholic on Tuesday; Northern Lebanon [11-7] will be on the road Tuesday to play Donegal) Box Score

Annville-Cleona 48, Lancaster Country Day 41 (Ava Hoover led AC with 14 points with Sage Sherk and Kendall Cooper each adding 8; Record: 13-5, next up is an away game at Columbia on Tuesday) Box Score

Cedar Crest 95, Lebanon 55 (Cedar Crest had 5 players in double figures: Owen Chernich [15], J’veon Reyes-Vega [14], Fernando Marquez [13], Leo Tirado [11], Aiden Schomp [10]; Lebanon had 2 players reach double figures: Nathan Trace [17], Ben DiScuillo [11]; Cedar Crest (9-8) will face LS on Tuesday; Lebanon (0-17) will host Central Dauphin on Monday)  Box Score

ELCO 49, Northern Lebanon 31 (ELCO was up 22-18 at the half, but used a strong 3rd quarter to break away; Dallas George scored 17 to lead the Raiders, with Kody Boyer adding 8 including 6 in the 3rd frame; Riley Messinger led the Vikings, scoring 8; ELCO is now 10-8 and will travel to play Lancaster Catholic on Monday; The Northern Lebanon is 1-17 and will host Donegal on Monday)  Box Score

New Covenant 70, Covenant Christian 43 (Ben Hartman scored 23, with Colson Hess adding 11 to pace the Flames to victory; New Covenant led 24-0 after the 1st quarter)

Palmyra 5, Elizabethtown 2 (Each goal was scored by a different Cougar; Nicholas Dove & Gavin Clark each had a goal & an assist)

Northern Lebanon 7, Lancaster Mennonite 0 (Charlie Albright led the Vikings with a 225 high game as part of a 645 series; teammate Owen Walmer put up a 586 series) Box Score
