Cedar Crest Continues Surge by Routing Elizabethtown

Cedar Crest entered Saturday morning’s road game against Elizabethtown riding a three game winning streak having defeated Warwick, Eastern York, and Cocalico in consecutive fashion. In those victories they won by a combined 28 goals. They looked to keep things rolling against the Bears, and did just that with a commanding 20-3 non-league win.

Bella Paquette helped lead a balanced Cedar Crest attack with 4 goals and 7 assists, while also adding 7 draw controls. The outing also included Paquette’s 100th draw control, giving the Falcons another milestone to celebrate during their winning streak. Avery Lechleitner added 3 goals and 1 assist to go with 8 draw controls, while Samantha Brown scored 3 goals as Cedar Crest once again showed off its offensive depth and control of possession.

More scoring support came from Alex Jones, who posted 2 goals and 2 assists, and Addie Fulkerson, who finished with 2 goals and 2 draw controls. Olivia Ryland added 1 goal and 1 assist, while Katie McCracken, Regan Graupensperger, Reagan Walters, and Bella Shay all scored once. Star Simaska also found the cage, while Addi Davis and Natalie Reesman each recorded assists. Maddison Stradnick chipped in 2 draw controls as Cedar Crest piled up 20 goals and controlled the game from start to finish.

On the defensive end, the Falcons stayed in command throughout. Vi Bierman made 3 saves and also scored 2 goals, while Phoebe Smith added 4 saves and scored once. Cedar Crest finished with a 20-4 edge in draw controls, another sign of how firmly the Falcons dictated the pace.

For Elizabethtown, Ava Glick, Allison Shaffner, and Kailey Stouffer each scored, while Paige Macnaughton had an assist. Goalie Noreen Lehman faced heavy pressure and made 13 saves.

Cedar Crest, now 6-2, will look to make it five in a row when they return home to face Penn Manor on Monday.
