Help us decide which male and female athlete should be honored for their outstanding efforts during last week’s local high school sports action. While you may have a favorite school or athlete already, we still encourage you to read through the lists below and then click on the link to vote.
Voting will remain open until Thursday at 10 pm.
While athletes can be nominated multiple weeks, the winners will be removed and updates will be provided as the season progresses.
While this may be a vote and emotions can run high, this is intended to bring attention to some of the best performances from our local student-athletes.
Nominations, which are made working with the schools, are listed below in alphabetical order.
Please read about each nominee, celebrate their accomplishment, and then go vote who you feel is most deserving of this week’s honor.
The winners will be announced at the end of the week.

Female Nominees
Cameron Blouch (Cedar Crest / Jr.) – Soccer: The junior midfielder had an impact performance in a thrilling 4-3 win over Elizabethtown, contributing 2 goals and an assist. Blouch’s offensive spark helped the Falcons secure an important late-season victory.
Nina Harrison (Lebanon / Jr.) – Volleyball: The junior has been a cornerstone of the Lady Cedars’ lineup this season, compiling 21 aces, 26 blocks, 81 kills, and 83 digs. Harrison’s all-around play, relentless effort, and leadership by example make her a consistent force on the court. Her passion and dedication have been evident in every drill, game, and point, and her growth this season has set the stage for even greater accomplishments in the future.
Akaiya Hershey (New Covenant / Sr.) – Soccer: The senior stepped up on Senior Night, netting 4 goals to lead the Flames to a dominant win over Covenant Christian. Hershey’s scoring outburst capped a memorable night and solidified her role as a team leader.
Keirra Sholl (ELCO / So.) – Volleyball: The sophomore has been a consistent force at the net all season, providing steady production in kills for a surging Raider team. Sholl’s presence has helped ELCO improve to 10-6 as they pursue their first District 3 playoff berth since 2015.
Mackenzie Stellmach (Annville-Cleona / Jr.) – Cross Country: The junior runner won the dual meet against Lancaster Catholic, setting a new home course record in the process. Stellmach’s dominant effort also helped lead the Dutchmen girls to the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 3 Championship.
Jovie Weaver (Palmyra / Sr.) – Field Hockey: The senior forward found the back of the cage four times across three games last week, including wins over Bishop McDevitt and Boiling Springs. Weaver’s contributions helped solidify Palmyra’s position at the top of the District 3 power rankings.
Male Nominees
Ryan Clemmer (Northern Lebanon / So.) – Football: The sophomore wide receiver delivered a breakout performance Friday night against Octorara, hauling in 145 yards and 3 touchdowns of quarterback Bryan Mitzel’s school record five touchdowns.. Clemmer’s big plays helped fuel the Vikings’ offensive attack and showcased his growing role as a playmaker.
Jevan Marquette (ELCO / So.) – Soccer: The sophomore striker continued his outstanding season, leading the Raiders with key goals during a strong postseason push. Marquette scored in a 3-0 Senior Night win over Pequea Valley and helped ELCO push 4A power Warwick to double overtime before falling 2-1 in the LL League quarterfinals. For the season, Maquette has scored 29 goals and has also contributed with 5 assists.
Braxtin Risser (Palmyra / Sr.) – Football:
The senior wideout was a reliable target in the Cougars’ 43-35 victory over Gettysburg, hauling in 4 receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. Risser’s big-play ability helped spark an explosive offensive performance for Palmyra.
Kai Speaks (Cedar Crest / Jr.) – Football:
The junior wide receiver made a major impact in Friday night’s win over McCaskey, catching 3 passes for 63 yards and 2 touchdowns. Speaks has quickly become a key playmaker in the Falcon offense after transitioning to wide receiver.
Sajan Tamang (Annville-Cleona / So.) – Soccer: The sophomore forward powered the Dutchmen to two wins last week, scoring twice in a 3-1 victory over Hanover and adding another goal in a 3-2 win over Northern Lebanon. Tamang’s timely scoring has been crucial to Annville-Cleona’s late-season surge.
