v Columbia
B (3-2) Bye
C (3-3) Columbia 26, Cedar Crest 0
D (2-4) Columbia 21, Cedar Crest 13
The Falcon “C” Team traveled to Columbia for a crucial divisional game. Columbia started with the ball and scored on what was a long, 15-play drive that shifted the momentum of the game and wore down the Crest defense. The Falcon offense was able to move the ball, but Columbia tightened up their defense when it counted; as they kept, they kept the game scoreless. In the end, the Tide proved to be too much. Jeremiah Mercado and Boston Speece were spotlighted by their coaches as outstanding players for the Falcons.
The Falcon “D” Team engaged in a back-and-forth battle with Columbia. The Falcons started the scoring with a Logan Hallman 2-yard touchdown run that followed a long Nico Aungst reverse run down the sideline. Columbia answered right back to take a 7-6 lead after the 1st quarter. The Falcons responded quickly with an exciting Hallman 70-yard touchdown run late in the 2nd quarter. The 2nd half was all Columbia, who scored two more times to take the lead for good. The Falcon comeback effort fell short even after Carson Baer’s completed pass to Christopher Waldron on the final play of the game.
The Falcon “B” Team had the week off, as Columbia did not have enough players to compete.
Up Next: The Falcons return on Sunday for a home game against the Black Knights of Hempfield.

Midget Division Recap
The Myerstown Panthers Midgets put up a strong offensive performance against Schuylkill Valley, with Bentley Landis and Matthew White leading the charge and causing trouble for the opposition with their size and power. The Panthers controlled much of the game, using their ground attack to wear down the defense.
However, Schuylkill Valley’s passing game became the great equalizer. Despite Myerstown holding a 28-26 lead late in the fourth quarter, Schuylkill Valley capitalized on their deep passing game, driving down the field and scoring a late touchdown with only seconds left on the clock. The last-minute score handed Schuylkill Valley a narrow 33-28 victory, ending a hard-fought game.
Mite Division Recap
The Myerstown Panthers Mites emerged victorious in a 26-13 win over the Schuylkill Valley Panthers, despite some early defensive struggles. In the first quarter, Schuylkill Valley chipped away yards, controlling the clock and methodically driving down the field. However, the Panthers held them scoreless through the quarter. Schuylkill Valley finally broke through early in the second quarter with a touchdown to take a 6-0 lead. Myerstown quickly responded, as Tucker Robert returned the ensuing kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown, tying the game at 6-6.
The defense tightened up after that, with key tackles by Carson Varner and Corbin Showalter forcing a turnover on downs deep in Schuylkill Valley’s territory. Showalter capitalized on the momentum with a touchdown run on the next play, putting Myerstown ahead 13-6. A beautifully placed kickoff by Abraham Galindo was fumbled by Schuylkill Valley and recovered by Luca Kirelawich, leading to another touchdown from Showalter, who followed a crucial block by Owen Hall to extend the lead to 20-6 at halftime.
Showalter continued to dominate, returning the second-half kickoff 75 yards for another touchdown, making it 26-6. Schuylkill Valley added a late touchdown in the fourth quarter, but the Myerstown defense, despite being on the field for extended periods due to quick offensive scores, held strong. The Panthers’ physicality and playmaking on both sides of the ball showed they are a formidable team as the season progresses.
Mighty Mite Division Recap
The Myerstown Panthers Mighty Mites engaged in a tough defensive battle against the Schuylkill Valley Panthers this week, falling just short in an 8-6 contest. The first quarter remained scoreless as both teams’ defenses held firm. Myerstown broke through in the second quarter with key carries by Patrick Lehman and Lucas Witmer, resulting in a touchdown by Witmer, giving them a 6-0 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, Myerstown’s offense struggled to find rhythm, and Schuylkill Valley capitalized with a scoring drive and a two-point conversion to take an 8-6 lead. Despite a hard-fought effort, Myerstown was unable to score again, resulting in the narrow 8-6 defeat.
Up Next: In their next matchup, Myerstown will host Berks Nightmare on Sunday.
