Palmyra defense and pitching worked their way out of the 5th inning without allowing a run. In the 8th inning, the Lady Cougars were able to string together some hits beginning with a single by Isabella Abbott. Vivian Jacoby followed with a single to advance Abbott. Patel put a bunt in play and by error scored Abbott. Facciani and Nicholson would follow with small ball putting bunts into play and scoring 3 more runs for Palmyra. Mollie White (pitcher) and Emily Cutman (catcher) would work together to strike out the last 3 hitters for Gettysburg in the 8th inning. Mollie White threw a no-hitter for the game, had 19 strikeouts, and only 1 walk! White also surpassed the 500 strike out mark for her high school career.
