Falcons Sweep Manheim Township Behind Big Road Performances

Under mild spring conditions with temperatures settling into the low 70s and a noticeable breeze, Cedar Crest went on the road Monday and came away with an impressive Section One sweep at Manheim Township.

The Falcons’ boys stayed unbeaten with a 110-40 victory, while the girls answered with a 90-60 win.

Cedar Crest’s girls set the tone with star power and balance, using big performances in the sprints, distance races, throws, jumps, and relays to bounce back in a convincing road win.

Kaddel Howard was once again electric, winning both the 200m and 400m. Eliana Schneider also delivered a huge day, claiming victories in the 800m, High Jump, and Javelin. Cedar Crest also got first-place finishes from Paris Jarrells in the 100m, Makenzie Wamsher in the 300m Hurdles, Nachali Manon in the Discus, Ryan Stopper in the Long Jump, Mikayla Fripps in the Shot Put, Layla Herbein in the Triple Jump, and both the 4x100m Relay and 4x400m Relay teams.

The Falcons also stacked points behind those wins. Carly Atkins finished second in the 800m, Mikalyn Weaber was second in the Shot Put and third in the Discus, Jesslyn Risser took second in the Pole Vault, and Olivia Cuthie added runner-up points in the Triple Jump and a third-place finish in the Javelin.

Manheim Township got strong efforts from Adora Emuwa, who was second in both the 100m and 200m, while Caroline Nachtigall won the 100m Hurdles and finished second in the 300m Hurdles. The Blue Streaks also got distance wins from Kaila Atteberry in the 1600m and Georgia Ealy in the 3200m, plus a win from Emerson Hardy in the Pole Vault.

Boys Recap: Cedar Crest 110, Manheim Township 40

Cedar Crest’s boys controlled this meet from start to finish, piling up points with elite sprinting, relay depth, distance strength, and dominant field-event work.

Landen Weaber won both the 100m and 200m, Justin Moreno swept the hurdles, Bryce Wampler took the 400m, and Travis Furmanski claimed both the 800m and 1600m. In the field, Tanner Zimmerman won the Discus, Cameron Tirado took the High Jump, Max Fleischer captured the Javelin, Nolan Lingle won the Long Jump, and Yedinak Cepero cleared his way to first in the Pole Vault.

The Falcons also turned several events into full sweeps. Cedar Crest went 1-2-3 in the 800m behind Travis Furmanski, Zachary Margut, and Hayden Snavely. The Falcons also swept the Long Jump with Nolan Lingle, Jemar Pauleus, and Cameron Tirado, and added another sweep in the Pole Vault with Yedinak Cepero, Romeo Mercado, and Tyler Carroll. Cedar Crest’s relay groups added more separation by winning the 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay, and 4x800m Relay.

Manheim Township still had some standout performances of its own. Cruze Mack won the Triple Jump and placed second in the 300m Hurdles, while Jake Ruch claimed the Shot Put. The Blue Streaks also got strong distance efforts from Joshua Henshaw and Ben Doumaux, who finished first and second in the 3200m.
