Hollenbach Dominates as Vikings Knock Off Central York
Less than 24 hours after picking up a win over Garden Spot, Northern Lebanon kept things rolling on Thursday, riding a dominant performance from Addison Hollenbach to a 6-1 victory over visiting Central York.
The Vikings wasted no time setting the tone in the 1st inning. Alyssa Shirey delivered an RBI single to open the scoring before Sophia Roye followed with a two-run double, giving Northern Lebanon an early three-run cushion.
In the circle, Hollenbach took over from there. The senior was in complete control, striking out 10 while allowing just three hits and one run over a complete-game effort. She did not issue a walk, consistently working ahead and limiting any Central York momentum.
Northern Lebanon added to its lead in the 4th inning when Mykenah Johnson launched a two-run home run to center field, extending the advantage to five. The Vikings finished with 11 hits on the day, putting steady pressure on the Panthers’ pitching staff.
Roye and Johnson each drove in two runs, while Stephanie Palkovic led the way with three hits, including a triple. Alyssa Shirey added a pair of hits and drove in a run, while Addison Kubica doubled and added an RBI as part of the balanced offensive effort.
Central York managed just three hits, with Madison Craig collecting two and Madelyn Sowers driving in the Panthers’ lone run.
With the win, Northern Lebanon improves to 11-3 and will return to Section 3 play on Monday with a road trip to Manheim Central.
