Palmyra Holds Off Hershey for Third Straight Win

Palmyra Girls Lacrosse was looking to make it three wins in a row when it played host to Hershey on Thursday night in a much-anticipated rivalry game. In a battle that lived up to the hype, the Cougars did just enough to come away with a 10-9 victory, pushing their season record to 7-2.

Ava Lantz led the Palmyra offense with 3 goals and 2 assists, while Eloise Frailey added 2 goals and 1 assist. Ella Detwiler also played a major role in the win, finishing with 1 goal and 4 assists as the Cougars found key production in a one-goal contest.

Adding to the balanced scoring effort were Grace Frew, who scored 2 goals, along with Marina Kemmlein-Colon and Bella Kenes, who each found the cage once for Palmyra.

Defensively, Brecken Benasutti made her presence felt with 2 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers, while Savannah Epler came up with 4 saves in goal to help the Cougars hold off Hershey down the stretch.

The Cougars are now 7-2. They will be back in action on Monday with a road trip to Red Land.
