Annville-Cleona Sweeps Octorara for 7-0 Victory

Annville-Cleona put together a complete performance on Wednesday, rolling to a 7-0 victory over Octorara. The Dutchmen controlled the match from start to finish, sweeping the singles flights and taking all three doubles points to even their record at 3-3 on the season.

The Dutchmen were especially sharp in singles play, where Travis Hostetter opened the day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at #1. Augustus Giurintano followed with a 6-2, 6-1 decision at #2 singles, while Isaac Hostetter earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory at #3. At #4 singles, Brent Meyer added another point with a 6-3, 6-3 win.

Annville-Cleona kept the pressure on in doubles. At #1 doubles, Travis Hostetter and Augustus Giurintano turned in an 8-0 sweep. Isaac Hostetter and Emilio Fuentes Garcia secured an 8-4 win at #2 doubles, and Brent Meyer and George Maag completed the team shutout with an 8-1 victory at #3 doubles.

With the result, Annville-Cleona is now 3-3 on the season.

The Dutchmen are scheduled to return to action on Thursday when they host Tulpehocken.
