Annville-Cleona Splits Non-League Tri-Meet at Susquenita

Annville-Cleona continued a busy opening week Thursday by competing in its second dual-meet date of the season, this time in a non-league tri-meet at Susquenita that also featured Mt. Calvary. The Dutchmen and Annville-Cleona girls split the afternoon’s results, with the boys earning a decisive win over Susquenita and the girls coming up short, but both sides turned in a number of strong performances across the track and in the field.

The Annville-Cleona boys improved to 1-1 in dual meets with a 104-46 win over Susquenita, while the girls fell 84-62 to Susquenita. Even with the split, A-C showed plenty of strength throughout the meet, collecting event wins in the sprints, distance races, relays, jumps, and throws against a field that also saw solid efforts from Susquenita and Mt. Calvary.
