Boys Wrestling: LebCo Weekend Results – Annville, ELCO, & Palmyra Finish Strong in Tournament Action

On Saturday, Annville-Cleona took the road to compete at the Newport Holiday Tournament. The Dutchmen finished third out of five teams, ending the day just 2.5 points behind second-place Camp Hill.

Annville-Cleona was powered by four individual champions, each delivering statement wins on the way to gold. Jayden Jorge claimed first place at 107 pounds with an emphatic run that culminated in a 17–0 technical fall in the championship finals, showcasing control from start to finish. At 127 pounds, John White secured the title with a pin in the finals, closing out a strong tournament with a clutch performance.

At 139 pounds, Oliver Funck put together one of the most complete days in the lineup, earning a semifinal pin before winning a 15–10 decision in the finals, outlasting a tough Camp Hill opponent in a high-paced title bout. The Dutchmen’s fourth gold came at 189 pounds from Blaine Leitz, who dominated throughout the tournament and capped his run with a technical fall in the championship match.

Annville-Cleona added more key points with Jaxon Speece, who finished second at heavyweight, and Devon Englehart, who earned a third-place finish at 133 pounds after battling through a competitive bracket.

 

 


 

   

Throughout Saturday and Sunday, ELCO competed at the MyHouse Trojan Wars at Chambersburg High School, finishing 10th out of 47 teams in a deep, multi-state field.

The Raiders were led by Ashton Kriss, who put together a strong run at 133 pounds to finish as the tournament’s runner-up. Kriss advanced to the finals with multiple victories, including pins in the early championship rounds and a technical fall in the semifinals, before dropping a major decision in the title bout.

ELCO also saw podium finishes from Kane Kline and Aleric Raihl. Kline battled his way through a loaded bracket at 127 pounds, earning wins by pin, technical fall, and decision before closing his weekend with a third-place finish. Raihl followed a similar path at 121 pounds, advancing to the semifinals and ultimately finishing fourth overall after several tightly contested matches.

Additional placers included Klint Miller and Brinley Donmoyer, who each fought back through the consolation rounds to earn seventh-place finishes at 172 and 189 pounds, respectively. Both picked up key wins late in the tournament to secure placement points.

ELCO also gained valuable experience from Cody Landis and Bain Blauch, each competing against quality opponents from across Pennsylvania and neighboring states.

 

 


 

 

 

 

Palmyra competed on Saturday and Sunday at the MyHouse Trojan Wars at Chambersburg High School, finishing 18th out of 47 teams in a field that included programs from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.

The Cougars were led by Elijah Foltz, who put together a strong run at 107 pounds. Foltz advanced to the championship finals after earning a pin and a technical fall earlier in the bracket, followed by a high-scoring semifinal decision. He ultimately finished runner-up after facing a tough opponent in the title bout.

Palmyra also picked up a podium finish from Tyler Detwiler at 139 pounds. Detwiler battled through a demanding consolation path, recording multiple bonus-point wins, including pins and major decisions, to secure a fifth-place finish.

Additional contributors included Grayson Cisney, who collected several wins at 121 pounds during his run through the championship and consolation brackets, Nicholas Weidman, who earned multiple pins at 145 pounds, and Evan Andrew, who recorded both a technical fall and a pin at 152 pounds. Kyler Sparks added to the team total with a pin at 189 pounds.
