ELCO 38, Schuylkill Valley 33
ELCO hosted Schuylkill Valley on Saturday afternoon in a non-league matchup. The Raiders opened the game with a strong defensive effort, building a 12–6 lead in the 1st quarter behind a 4-point effort from Paul Williams, which included a rare three-pointer from the big man.
Offense was harder to come by in the 2nd quarter, as ELCO managed just two points at the free-throw line from Josiah Hayes. That lull allowed Schuylkill Valley to edge ahead, 16–14, at halftime.
The Raiders found their rhythm again in the 3rd quarter, erupting for 15 points. Hayes and Kaden Tillison each scored 5 points in the frame, while Austin Smith also knocked down a three-pointer as ELCO surged ahead to take an 8-point lead.
Entering the 4th quarter up 29–21, ELCO continued to rely on its senior leadership. Tillison and Hayes combined to steady the offense and fend off a late push from Schuylkill Valley, securing the victory.
Hayes led ELCO with 14 points, while Tillison finished with 10.
ELCO (5–1) returns to league play on Monday when the Raiders host Lampeter-Strasburg.

Solanco 53, Lebanon 48
A night after a road trip to McCaskey, the Cedars were back in action on Saturday afternoon, hosting Solanco. Lebanon got off to a strong start, led by Daryan Rodriguez, who scored 7 points in the opening quarter. Noriah Jones added a three-pointer as the Cedars built a 13–5 lead by the end of the 1st.
The Mules responded in the 2nd quarter as the offensive pace picked up, allowing Solanco to take a one-point lead into halftime. The 3rd quarter was played evenly, with both teams scoring 10 points, all of Lebanon’s coming from Derek Franco.
With the game in the balance, Solanco received a strong 4th-quarter effort from Kiran Ludgate, who scored 8 points, and Nolan Wagner, who knocked down two three-pointers. Lebanon stayed within striking distance behind 8 late points from Manny Martinez, but Solanco was able to hold on for the win.
Franco led the Cedars with 20 points and was joined in double figures by Rodriguez (12 points) and Martinez (10 points). Ludgate led all scorers with 25 points.
Lebanon (3-3) will look to return to the win column when they travel to Penn Manor on Tuesday night.

Cedar Crest 60, Hempfield 47
Cedar Crest welcomed Hempfield to South Lebanon on Friday evening, looking to secure its second straight win and open Section 1 play at 1-0.
The game was played tightly early, but Cedar Crest’s perimeter shooting and efficiency at the free-throw line quickly became the difference. Cam Tirado and Jemar Pauleus each knocked down three-pointers in both the 1st and 2nd quarters, while the Falcons went a perfect 6-for-6 from the line to build a 30-22 halftime lead. Pauleus led all scorers at the break with 12 points.
In the 3rd quarter, the pace slowed offensively, but Cedar Crest continued to add to its advantage, outscoring Hempfield 10-6. Steven Reyes connected on a three-pointer in the frame, while Pauleus added five more points.
The tempo picked up again in the 4th quarter, and the Falcons were able to hold off Hempfield behind 7 points from Pauleus and 6 from Reyes to secure the victory.
Pauleus finished with a game-high 24 points, going 10-for-13 from the free-throw line, while Tirado chipped in 12 points.
Cedar Crest (2-3) will look to move to .500 when it returns to action on Tuesday with a road game at McCaskey.

n Friday night, New Covenant hosted Covenant Christian and made it clear early that the Flames were in control. New Covenant exploded for 31 points in the 1st quarter while allowing just a single basket, setting the tone for the night. By halftime, the Flames had built a commanding 46–3 advantage.
The 2nd half was played much more evenly, as New Covenant eased up with the outcome well in hand and focused on closing out their third victory of the season.
Ben Rhine led the way offensively, scoring 19 points, all of which came in the opening quarter.
New Covenant (3-2) will look to keep it rolling when they host Lititz Christian on Monday.

On Friday night, Palmyra knew they were in for a tough test when they hosted Milton Hershey. The Cougars held strong early, outscoring the Spartans 9–4 in the 2nd quarter to take a 16–12 lead into halftime. The first-half scoring was balanced, with Tommy Steelman, Micah Warner, and Luke Grumbein each contributing four points.
Milton Hershey responded in the 3rd quarter with a team effort of their own, reclaiming the lead and heading into the final frame up 28–25. In the 4th quarter, the Spartans were able to keep Palmyra from finding the spark needed to turn the tide.
For the Cougars, Grumbein and Warner each finished with eight points.
Palmyra (1–3) will look to get back in the win column on Monday when they host Lower Dauphin.

On Friday, the Dutchmen hit the road to take on Lancaster Country Day. LCDS built momentum early, stretching its advantage to 26–12 by halftime.
In the 3rd quarter, Annville-Cleona found an offensive rhythm, scoring 17 points, but the surge was not enough to close the gap as Lancaster Country Day maintained control the rest of the way.
Hudson Sellers led the Dutchmen with 14 points, while James Garney also reached double figures with 10 points.
Annville-Cleona (2-2) will look to bounce back when they host Lancaster County Christian on Monday.

On Friday night, the Cedars traveled to McCaskey to face a Red Tornado squad that is shaping up to be one of the top teams in the LL this season. Early on, however, it was Lebanon that set the tone, building a 24–19 lead after the 1st quarter behind 13 points from sophomore Derek Franco.
McCaskey responded in the 2nd quarter, trimming the Cedars’ advantage to just two points and sending the teams into halftime with Lebanon still on top, 38–35.
In the 2nd half, McCaskey sophomore DeMere Salisbury began to take over, scoring 20 of his 29 points after the break. When Lebanon focused on limiting Salisbury, the Red Tornadoes found additional scoring from Amir Thompson-Hanson, who finished with 20 points of his own.
Despite the final result, Franco delivered an outstanding performance for Lebanon, pouring in 37 points, including five three-pointers. Manny Martinez also contributed offensively, knocking down two triples on his way to 11 points.
Lebanon (3-2) will return home on Saturday when they host Solanco.

ELCO opened Section 3 play on the road against Donegal and set the tone early, building a 17–10 lead by the end of the 1st quarter behind 8 points from Kaden Tillison. From there, the Raiders never looked back.
By halftime, ELCO had extended the advantage to 30–19, with Tillison staying hot by scoring another 8 points, including his second three-pointer of the night. He added two more triples in the 3rd quarter and finished with 26 points before sitting out the 4th.
Austin Smith finished as ELCO’s second-leading scorer with 8 points.
With the win, ELCO improves to 4–1 and will turn its attention to Saturday’s home matchup against Schuylkill Valley.

Entering Wednesday, the Falcons were 0-3 after facing tough competition to start the season. They looked to break into the win column with a road trip to Conrad Weiser.
Cedar Crest jumped out to an early 15-8 lead in the 1st quarter behind 5 points each from Cam Tirado and Jemar Pauleus. The Falcons continued to add to their advantage in the 2nd quarter, knocking down four three-pointers as a team, led by Jackson Smith, who buried two of them. By halftime, Cedar Crest held a comfortable 29-17 lead.
The 2nd half was played much tighter, but 5 points from Steven Reyes in the 3rd quarter helped keep the Scouts at arm’s length. In the 4th, Cedar Crest closed strong, with Tirado hitting two more threes—giving him four for the night on his way to 17 points—and the team converting all six of its free throws down the stretch.
Along with Tirado’s 17 points, Pauleus (11 points) and Smith (10 points) also reached double figures.
Cedar Crest (1-3) will look to move one step closer to .500 when they host Hempfield on Friday night.

Palmyra took a trip to the West Shore to face the Cedar Cliff Colts. In a tightly contested 1st quarter, Luke Johnson led the Cougars with 4 points, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. The 2nd quarter began with Cedar Cliff holding a slim 9–8 lead.
However, in the 2nd quarter, the Colts began to put things together offensively as they pulled away to take a 25–16 lead into halftime.
In the 3rd quarter, things slowed down, but Palmyra continued to earn points at the line, going 7-for-10 from the foul line, with Brayden Bown hitting four of them.
The 4th quarter featured more offensive intensity, but the Cougars were unable to close the gap. In the final frame, Luke Loser scored 6 of his team-high 9 points.
Palmyra (1-2) will host a tough Milton Hershey team on Friday night.

On Tuesday, Annville-Cleona welcomed Northern Lebanon to “The Barn.” Early on, it was clear the matchup would be tightly contested. The 1st quarter went to the Vikings, who took a 17–14 lead behind 7 points from Andrew Via.
In the 2nd quarter, the Dutchmen responded as Lane Peters hit two three-pointers and John Ditzler added another. Their defensive effort also tightened, allowing Annville to take a 31–26 lead into halftime.
Northern Lebanon used the 3rd quarter to erase the deficit, with Carter Moyer erupting for 13 points. With the game tied entering the 4th, both teams battled to the final buzzer. In the end, Annville-Cleona escaped with the win by the narrowest of margins.
James Garney led Annville with 20 points, and Hudson Sellers joined him in double figures with 10.
For Northern Lebanon, Moyer delivered a standout performance with 29 points, including four three-pointers and a 7-for-8 mark at the foul line. Via added 15 points, while Nolan Lesher contributed 13.
Both squads return to action on Friday. Annville-Cleona (2–1) will travel to Lancaster Country Day, while Northern Lebanon (1–3) will host Pequea Valley.

ELCO came out firing on all cylinders and put together four consistent quarters of basketball in a home victory over Hamburg on Tuesday evening. In the 1st quarter, the Raiders posted 17 points, fueled by Josiah Hayes, who scored 13 of them. That would end up being their lowest scoring period, as they went on to tally 18 points in each of the next three quarters.
In the 2nd quarter, Kaden Tillison caught fire from long range, knocking down two three-pointers on his way to 14 first-half points.
Both seniors continued to dominate throughout the second half, with Tillison and Hayes each finishing with 25 points to lead ELCO’s offensive surge.
ELCO (3-1) will travel to Donegal on Thursday night.
