Annville-Cleona Girls Basketball Season Outlook
Annville-Cleona enters the 2025–26 season with a strong returning core and an impressive collection of young talent ready to elevate the program. The Dutchmen graduated four important seniors—Ava Hoover, Audrey Sider, Kendall Cooper, and Lilliana Sanchez—whose leadership and production helped shape the team’s competitive identity.
This year’s group is anchored by experienced upperclassmen: seniors Caitlin Shay, Savannah Kleinfelter, and Kaleena Esparza, along with juniors Addison Sanchez, Dana Hoover, and Valeria Russo. Their leadership and consistency will establish the tone and stability needed for success.
A wave of rising contributors is set to bolster the lineup. Sophomore Valentina Russo has emerged as one of the team’s most aggressive and impactful defenders, while fellow sophomore Sidney Boyer provides a natural scoring touch highlighted by a refined mid-range jumper. Freshman Georgia Sellers brings poise, versatility, and a strong work ethic, already demonstrating the ability to contribute immediately on both ends. Her athletic background and steady composure make her one of the team’s most promising young players.
The coaching staff is placing strategic emphasis on three key areas of improvement:
- Enhanced communication to elevate execution and team flow.
- Rebounding fundamentals, particularly boxing out, to maximize possessions given the team’s size profile.
- Deepened trust and cohesion, recognizing unity as the foundation of sustained success.
Under fifth-year head coach William “Wee” Sanchez, the Dutchmen continue to prioritize toughness, discipline, and connected play. With a balanced blend of veteran leadership and ascending young talent, Annville-Cleona enters the 2025–26 season with confidence and a clear vision for growth.
