CCAC Championship Game

New Covenant 2, Mount Cavalry 1 [2 OT] – The Flames captured their second straight CCAC Championship in dramatic fashion, defeating Mount Calvary in double overtime. Hannah Hubbard opened the scoring in the first half off an assist from McKenna Kantner, before Mount Calvary tied the game before halftime. After a scoreless second half, Kai Hershey delivered the golden goal in double overtime, assisted by Adrianna Yeagley, to lift New Covenant to the title. The championship-winning goal also made Hershey the New Covenant Girls Soccer program’s all-time career points leader.

Wednesday, October 15th

Field Hockey

Palmyra 5, Red Land 0 – The Cougars put together a strong all-around performance in their win, with five different players finding the back of the cage. AJ Walker opened the scoring with a first-quarter penalty stroke, followed by Maddy Waldronconverting off a corner in the second. In the third quarter, Madi Stahl scored off an assist from Ella Detwiller, and Leigha Kane added another goal off a corner. Allie Fink capped the scoring in the fourth quarter with a goal assisted by Addy Barger, sealing a complete team effort for the Cougars. Palmyra has finished the regular season as the 2025 Keystone Champions.

Monday, October 13th

Field Hockey

Lower Dauphin 2, Palmyra 1 – Chase Strohm gave Lower Dauphin the early lead with a first-quarter goal off a corner from, but Maddie Stahl soon answered, tying the game off a corner from Leigha Kane. Strohm then scored again in the 2nd quarter, ending the scoring as the Falcon defense limited Palmyra’s chances the rest of the way.

 

Girls Soccer

Annville-Cleona 6, Oley Valley 2 – The Dutchmen secured a big win behind a dominant performance from Emma Shirk, who scored 4 goals and added an assist. Mikayla Sperlich contributed a goal and an assist, while Valeria Russo also found the back of the net. The victory clinches AA district qualification for the Dutchmen and caps the regular season with Shirk as the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s leading scorer with 30 goals.

Palmyra 1, Middletown 0 – The Cougars closed out their season with a 1-0 victory, as Ellie Bauer scored the game’s only goal off an assist from Elyse Ancharski, marking her 10th of the year. Kenzie Long capped an outstanding season with 12 goals and 3 assists, finishing her career with 101 points — becoming just the fourth player in Palmyra history to reach the 100-point milestone.

 

Girls Volleyball

Northern Lebanon 3, Lebanon 0 [25-14, 25-17, 25-10] – Northern Lebanon earned the win behind a balanced team effort. Claire Borcky led the attack with 7 kills, while Tori French and Emma Marlowe each added 5. Marlowe also anchored the defense with 15 digs. Lyndsie Bomgardner guided the offense with 23 assists and added 3 aces. For Lebanon, Nina Harrison led the Cedars with 3 kills and 3 aces. Skylar Strickler and J. Mejia contributed defensively with several digs, while Strickler also tallied assists to lead the offense.

Cocalico 3, ELCO 1 [23-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-21] – In the loss, ELCO was led by a strong performance from Keirra Sholl, who recorded 22 kills, 14 digs, and 3 blocks. Chloe Shirk added 16 kills, while Julia Wenger guided the offense with 41 assists. Taylor Martin contributed 2 aces and 11 digs, and Erica Snader added 4 blocks. For Cocalico, Abbie Lesher paced the team with 18 kills and 15 digs. Arabella Keylor tallied 27 assists, Jaclyn Nivenserved 4 aces, and Sydney Ringer chipped in 2 blocks.

Conestoga Valley 3, Cedar Crest 0 [25-15, 25-16, 25-8] – Cedar Crest was led by Caroline Heller, who tallied 2 aces, 12 kills, and 3 blocks. Miley Hopple added 15 assists, while Emma Deshong anchored the defense with 14 digs. For Conestoga Valley, Mia Wenger recorded 4 aces and 16 kills, Kayla Kunjappu dished out 35 assists, and Willow Daniel contributed 11 digs. Sadie Dougherty added a block for the Buckskins.
