On Friday, the AA Team Championship and first round of the AA individual competition took place at Honey Run Golf Club. Annville-Cleona was led by Benjamin Allwein (71, -1) who finished 3rd on the leaderboard followed by teammate Logan Francis (72, E) in 4th. As a team, they tied York Catholic, leading to a playoff between the two squads. Unfortunately, it was York Catholic who won the playoff. On Saturday, the AA & AAA individual championships will wrap up with the 2nd round of 18 holes.

ELCO 2, Lampeter-Strasburg 1 – The Raiders secured a key Section 3 victory over Lampeter-Strasburg, with Kenzie Eckhart opening the scoring off an assist from Hadyn Boyer. Caitlyn Andrews-Weber added an insurance goal late in the game, assisted by Eckhart,

ELCO 4, Lampeter-Strasburg 0 – The Raiders picked up a decisive win behind strong offensive play. Austin Smith scored twice, including an early goal assisted by Mason Yoder and another assisted by Jevan Marquette. Marquette then added two goals of his own, with assists from Smith and Ben Macchione, as the Raiders overwhelmed the opposing goalkeeper Carter Echternach. ELCO is now 12-4.

District 3 Championships
At the District 3 Golf Championships, the AAA girls were in action, with Cedar Crest finishing second behind Hershey. Through the first 18 holes, the Falcons’ Bryn Brandt leads the girls competition by three strokes. On the boys side, Cedar Crest’s Dylan Ramsey (6th) and Carson DiBiaso (9th) are among the top performers. The AA competition begins Friday, with both classifications set to complete their second and final round on Saturday.
Cross Country
Annville-Cleona, Cedar Crest, & Northern Lebanon competed at the Paul Short Invitational. Cedar Crest’s Travis Furmanski was the top overall boy, running a 14:53 to outrace nearly 1,100 other runners.

Girls Volleyball
Hempfield 3, Cedar Crest 0 [25-23, 25-14, 25-9] – Cedar Crest was led by Caroline Heller with 7 kills and 3 blocks, Miley Hopple with 14 assists, Emma Deshong with 6 digs, and Emersyn Bucher contributing 2 aces. Hempfield countered with a strong all-around effort from Dariana Patterson (8 kills), Kennedi Strassmann (9 aces), Peyton Groff (29 assists, 8 digs), and Sofia Blyznyuk (2 blocks).
McCaskey 3, Lebanon 0 – Lebanon was paced by N. Harrison, who tallied 5 kills, 13 digs, and 2 blocks. T. Franco added 2 aces, and S. Strickler contributed 10 assists to keep the offense moving.

New Covenant 4, Mount Cavalry 0 – The Flames got contributions from multiple players in their offensive attack, with Kai Hershey scoring twice, and Hannah Hubbard and McKenna Kantner each adding a goal.
Annville-Cleona 3, McCaskey 0 – Emma Shirk, Addy Sanchez, and Valeria Russo found the back of the net for the Dutchmen, while Bailee Kohr and Mariam Elzek combined for a shutout in goal. Nikki Dennis was a standout, controlling possession and helping drive the team’s attack.

Annville-Cleona 5, Northern Lebanon 0 – The Dutchmen were led by Claire Francis, who scored four times, including two goals in the first half with assists from Nora Hoover. Francis, a sophomore, also recorded her 100th career point. Anna Pacewitz added the final tally in the fourth quarter. Savannah Kleinfelter stopped all three shots she faced for the shutout. For Northern Lebanon, goalkeepers Orlaith Phillips (3 saves) and Grace Plankin (2 saves) combined in net, while Kasey Weimer recorded a defensive save.
ELCO 6, Solanco 0 – ELCO rolled past Solanco, led by Meredith Noll, who scored twice, including a first-quarter goal assisted by Audrey Boehler. Jordan Rivera added three goals for the Raiders, including one in the second quarter (assist Addie Weiler), one in the third (assist Meredith Noll), and one in the fourth. Paityn Newswanger also contributed a second-quarter goal, assisted by Boehler. Savannah Gettle made 4 saves in goal, while Lilja Davis contributed key defensive stops.
Ephrata 3, Cedar Crest 1 – The Falcons despite a strong effort from Ella Becker, who scored the teams’ lone goal in the second quarter. Goalie Mikalyn Weber made 20 saves to keep the game close.

Northern Lebanon 3, Lancaster Mennonite 0 [25-10, 25-14, 27-25] – Northern Lebanon powered past Lancaster Mennonite behind a strong all-around performance. Shea Moyer led the Vikings with 12 kills, while Claire Borcky added 8. Emma Marlowe sparked the defense and serving game with 12 digs and 7 aces, and Anna Shoemaker chipped in 12 digs of her own. Setter Lyndsie Bomgardner directed the attack with 27 assists. Lancaster Mennonite was led by Bella Fuller with 8 kills and 2 aces, while Naomi Bowman tallied 15 assists and Ava Williams added 8 digs. Northern Lebanon is now 12-2.

Girls Soccer
ELCO 6, Northern Lebanon 0 – The Raiders rolled to a strong offensive performance, finding the back of the cage six times against Northern Lebanon. Olivia Brubaker opened the scoring at the 23-minute mark off an assist from Ava Beck. Madison Nelson then took over, striking three times — including goals in the 27th, 51st (assisted by Caitlyn Andrews-Weber), and 56th minutes — to notch a hat trick. Ava Stewart added a tally in the 61st minute, and Taylor Everhart capped the scoring at 74:00 with help from Riley Bennethum. Despite the barrage, Vikings goalkeeper Maura Grubb turned in a standout effort, recording 18 saves.
Red Land 5, Palmyra 2 – For the Cougars, Kenzie Long and Alyse Lindenmuth each found the back of the cage to lead the offense, with assists coming from Izzy Weber and Long.

ELCO 4, Annville-Cleona 2 – Raiders controlled play with 19 shots and 10 corners. Meredith Noll paced the Raiders with a hat trick, while Addie Weiler added a goal and an assist. For the Dutchmen, Nora Hoover scored once and assisted on Claire Francis’s fourth-quarter goal. Annville keeper Savannah Kleinfelter kept her team in it with 15 saves against heavy pressure.
Palmyra 4, Hershey 0 – Palmyra powered past rival Hershey, spreading the scoring across three quarters. Ella Detwiller opened the scoring in the first, before Maddie Stahl struck twice in the second off feeds from Leigha Kane. Maddy Waldron added the final goal late in the third to seal the win for the Cougars.

Mikayla Sperlich added 2 goals and 2 assists, Valeria Russo contributed 2 goals and an assist, Addy Sanchez scored twice, and Anna Lim chipped in with a goal. For Lebanon, Trinity Leeper also found the back of the net.

Girls: Pequea Valley 15, ELCO 44 – ELCO’s girls varsity team was led by Reagan Zwally (6th, 22:35), Paityn Newswanger (7th, 22:41), and Lizzie Croft (8th, 23:06). Newswanger then played in the ELCO Field Hockey game.
Boys: Pequea Valley 22, ELCO 38 – Max and Cru Frederick paced ELCO’s varsity team, claiming 2nd and 4th place with times of 17:30 and 17:50.

Annville-Cleona 6, Solanco 3 – The Annville-Cleona Dutchmen showcased a sharp attack, with Claire Francis scoring three goals and assisting on one, while Julia Gross, Lois Carey, and Nora Hoover each added goals—Gross and Francis connecting on the opening cage early in the first quarter. Georgia Sellers set up two crucial goals, including Francis’s first and the late fourth-quarter strike, helping AC pull ahead. Goalie Savannah Kleinfelter made 12 saves to preserve the Dutchmen’s victory

Girls Soccer
ELCO 3, Donegal 1 – ELCO’s attack was on point as they cruised to the win. Kenzie Eckhart struck early at the 8:00 mark off a setup from Madison Nelson, then added her second in the 31st minute with help from Hadyn Boyer. Late in the match, Olivia Brubaker capped things off in the 68th minute, finishing a feed from Nelson.
New Covenant 5, York Country Day 1 – New Covenant’s offense was well-balanced with four players contributing goals. Lanny Zimmerman got things started, followed by Moriah Simniskis and McKenna Kantner. In the second half, captain Lily Rohrer took control, scoring twice to cap off the win.

ELCO 2, Donegal 0 – ELCO secured the victory with a pair of second-half goals. At the 49:00 mark, Samuel Keener broke through with the opener, set up by Collin Readinger. Later, in the 61st minute, Jevan Marquette doubled the lead off an assist from Ben Macchione, sealing the win.
New Covenant 9, York Country Day 1 – Gavin Meson and Owen Fisher each scored three times to pace the Flames to victory.
Lampeter-Strasburg 2, Northern Lebanon 1 – Diego Bustillo scored to give the Vikings an early lead, but the Pioneers struck twice mid-game to secure the victory.
