Field Hockey

Camden Catholic (NJ) 3, Palmyra 2 [OT] – At the MaxField Hockey Showcase in Conshohocken, Palmyra faced Camden Catholic in a battle that went to overtime. The Cougars jumped ahead in the first quarter when Maddie Stahl scored, but Camden Catholic’s Sophia Stazi quickly answered off a corner. In the second quarter, Ella Detwiller gave Palmyra the lead again with help from Jovie Weaver, only to see Camden Catholic even the score in the third. Overtime belonged to the Irish, as Stazi struck again on a corner to seal the 3-2 win.

Field Hockey

Palmyra 6, First Colonial (Va) 1 – At the MaxField Hockey Showcase held at Conshohocken’s Proving Grounds, the Cougars met First Colonial, one of Virginia’s top teams. Palmyra dominated, with Maddie Stahl, Leigha Kane, Maddy Waldron, Jovie Weaver, and Ella Detwiller combining for six goals, many set up with assists from Weaver, Stahl, Kane, and Allie Fink (2). The Cougars outshot First Colonial 27-1,

Camp Hill 1, Annville-Cleona 0 – In her LebCo Athlete of the Week encore, Savannah Kleinfelter made things very difficult for Camp Hill as the goalkeeper turned away 23 shots.

Girls Soccer

Northern Lebanon 2, Pequea Valley 0 – The Vikings secured the win with goals from Hope Shaffer in the 19th minute and Haylee Mullen in the 79th. Rylee Mullen made 5 saves to earn the shutout.

 

Girls Tennis

Cedar Crest 5, Warwick 2 – Cedar Crest’s winners on senior night included Ava Bashore and Lana Cawley in singles, along with the doubles teams of Kara Cawley/Lexi Ramsey, Emma Hartman/Kara Robertson, and Addy Brown/Clara Tawadrous.

Lancaster Country Day 6, Northern Lebanon 1 – Rachel Troup earned a 6-0, 6-1 win in #2 Singles.

Conestoga Valley 3, Cedar Crest 0 [25-9, 25-18, 25-14]  – The Falcons were led by Isabella Freed with 2 aces, Caroline Heller with 5 kills, Emma Deshong with 15 digs, Miley Hopple and Leah Kreider with 7 assists each, and Skylar Bohn with 1 block.

 

Field Hockey 

ELCO 2, Solanco 0

Ephrata 2, Cedar Crest 1 – In the annual Gray Out game to raise awareness for brain cancer, the Falcons got a goal from Ella Becker, assisted by Bella Paquette. Ephrata then broke the 1-1 tie late in the third quarter to secure the win.

 

Girls Tennis

Palmyra 3, Northern 2 – With the team score split 2-2, Hope Reichley rallied from a 0-5 deficit in the tie breaking third set to win 8-6. This unlikely rally broke the tie and gave the Lady Cougars the big victory.

Annville-Cleona 5, ELCO 2 – For Annville-Cleona, Nia Hafey, Gabriella Tetzlaff, and Sophia Sirriannia earned singles victories, with Hafey and Tetzlaff also teaming up for a doubles win alongside the duo of Sirriannia and Charlotte Clyde. For ELCO, Trinity Donough won in singles play, then paired with Delaine Hartman to capture a doubles victory.

Annville-Cleona 10, McCaskey 0 – In Annville’s victory, Emma Shirk scored 5 goals for the second time this week, while Mikayla Sperlich added 2 goals and an assist.

Girls Soccer

New Covenant 4, Oley Valley 1 – Laney Zimmerman scored twice on penalty kicks, while Qynne Demler ad Mckenna Kantner also tallied goals. Emma Stevenson made 17 saves!

ELCO 1, Northern Lebanon 0 – In ELCO’s win over the Vikings, Hadyn Boyer delivered the game-winner in the 92nd minute.

 

Boys Soccer

Cedar Crest 1, Manheim Township 0 – Jemar Pauleus scored an unassisted goal to give the Falcons the victory. It was his 4th goal in the last four games, as Cedar Crest moved to 8-1.

ELCO 7, Northern Lebanon 1 – ELCO’s offense was powered by Jevan Marquette’s four goals, with support from Braden Gettle’s two goals, a strike from Parker Tobias, and assists by Ben Macchione (3) and Mason Yoder. Northern Lebanon’s Josh Graham scored in the 75th minute to get the Vikings on the board.

Field Hockey

ELCO 5, Annville-Cleona 0 – ELCO was led by Meredith Noll, who tallied a goal and an assist, while Audrey Boehler, Meredith Noel, and Jordan Rivera each added goals, with assists from Molly Schneider and Addie Weiler. Both goaltenders stood tall, with ELCO’s Savannah Gettle and Annville-Cleona’s Savannah Kleinfelter each recording 7 saves.

Warwick 4, Cedar Crest 0 – Against the defending state champs, Mikalyn Weaber made 13 saves for the Falcons.

 

Girls Soccer

New Covenant 3, Harrisburg Christian 1 – For the Flames, Elise Stoner, McKenna Kantner, and Hannah Hubbard each scored, while Emma Stevenson recorded four saves in goal.

Palmyra 2, Hershey 1 – Kenzie Long powered the Cougars’ offense with two goals, while Elyse Ancharski set up the attack with an assist to help secure the win.

Annville-Cleona 9, Lebanon 0 – In the Dutchmen’s victory, Emma Shirk poured in 5 goals, Jayloni Andujar added 2, while Mikayla Sperlich and Valeria Russo each found the back of the net. Despite the score, Lebanon goalkeeper Rayven Soliday was outstanding in net.

Annville-Cleona 1, Lebanon 0 – Travis Hostetter scored the game-winner off an assist from Drew Meyer.

Girls Volleyball

Northern Lebanon 3, McCaskey 0 [25-21, 25-10, 25-12] – Shea Moyer (12 kills) and Claire Borcky (11 kills, 12 digs, 4 aces, 3 blocks) led the charge for the Vikings, while Lyndsie Bomgardner kept the offense rolling with 30 assists.

ELCO 3, Lampeter-Strasburg 1 [25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 26-24] – In a tightly fought contest, the Raiders were led offensively by Keirra Sholl (20 kills, 15 digs) and Chloe Shirk (18 kills, digs), while Taylor Martin contributed 25 digs and 5 aces. Julia Wenger ran the offense with 44 assists, and Erica Snader added 2 blocks to bolster the defense.

 

 

 

 

Monday, September 15

Girls Soccer

ELCO 2, Donegal 0 – The Lady Raiders picked up the road win with goals from Hadyn Boyer and Ava Seifert.

Annville-Cleona 3, Biglerville 1 – The Dutchmen were led by Mikayla Sperlich, who had a goal and two assists, with Nikki Dennis and Emma Shirk also adding goals.

Field Hockey

Palmyra 4, Bishop McDevitt 0 – The Cougars controlled the game from start to finish, with Jovie Weaver and Allie Fink each recording a goal and an assist in the opening quarter to set the tone. AJ Walker and Ella Detwiler added goals, both assisted by Maddie Stahl, while the Cougars outshot Bishop McDevitt 17–1 and held an 11–3 edge in corners. Defensively, Leigha Kane contributed a key defensive save in the shutout effort.

Lancaster Country Day 7, Lebanon 0 – Stefani Guedez made 20 saves for the Cedars, while Gabriella Zidik also added a defensive save.

 

Girls Tennis

Lebanon 7, McCaskey 0 – On Senior Night, the Lebanon Cedars celebrated a triumphant victory over McCaskey, with standout performances from Scarlett Meyer, Sarah Zheng, Yuna Mercedes, Sally Zheng, and the doubles pairs of Scarlett Meyer/Sarah Zheng, Yuna Mercedes/Sally Zheng, and Geisha Perez/Esmeralda Chavez. Lebanon is now 6-3.

Northern Lebanon 5, Columbia 2 – In the victory, Northern Lebanon earned singles wins from Shuey and Troup before sweeping all three doubles matches. Victories from the pairs of Shuey/Troup, Flores/Almer, and Niebauer/Bowman capped off a dominant day for the Vikings.

Girls Volleyball

ELCO 3, Conrad Weiser 0 [25-13, 25-21, 25-10] – The Raiders were led by a strong all-around effort in their win. Chloe Shirk tallied 12 kills and added a block, while Keirra Sholl filled the stat sheet with 8 kills, 8 aces, 14 digs, and a block. Julia Wenger set the pace with 30 assists, and Adryanna Daniels chipped in with a block at the net.
