On Monday, the Lancaster Lebanon League held its Golf Championship at Lebanon Country Club, where athletes battled for a chance to qualify for the upcoming District 3 Championship.

Lebanon County golfers stole the spotlight, with Cedar Crest and Annville-Cleona each capturing team championships, while Annville-Cleona’s Logan Francis topped the leaderboard to claim the overall LL League Individual Championship.

Francis, a senior, relied on his experience and steady play to card five birdies, finishing as the only golfer under par with a 2-under 70. That score not only earned him the league crown, but also anchored Annville-Cleona’s team effort in the AA classification.

Logan Francis, LL League Champion

During the regular season, the Dutchmen were edged out by Pequea Valley for the Section 4 title. On Monday, however, Annville-Cleona answered back, firing a team score of 312, comfortably ahead of Pequea’s 324. Alongside Francis, the Dutchmen were bolstered by freshman Benjamin Allwein (+4, 76), who placed tied for 5th overall. Will Kerwin (+10, 82) and Aidan Lezon (+12, 84) rounded out the scoring to secure the championship. With the victory, the Dutchmen earned a spot in the District 3 Team Championship, while Francis, Allwein, and Kerwin all qualified individually.

Annville-Cleona AA League Champions

In the AAA division, Cedar Crest edged rival Manheim Township by just one stroke, 307–308, after the two programs shared the Section 1 title during the regular season. The Falcons were led by seniors Dylan Ramsey (+2, 74), one of Pennsylvania’s top golfers, who tied for 2nd overall, and Carson DiBiaso (+4, 76). Bryn Brandt tied Ramsey for the team lead with a (+2, 74) on her way to finishing 2nd in the girls competition. Depth proved to be the difference, as Rory Smyth (+11, 83), Davin Kolter (+11, 83), and Drew Gebhard (+11, 83) closed out the team scoring. With the narrow victory, Cedar Crest advances to the District 3 Team Championship, with all five of their top golfers also moving on to Districts as individuals.

Cedar Crest AAA League Champions

As mentioned, Cedar Crest freshman Bryn Brandt made an immediate impact and finished among the best golfers in the league. Her +2 (74) finish earned 2nd place, just one stroke behind Warwick’s Piper Smith, securing her spot in District competition.

Another Lebanon County golfer who punched his ticket to Districts was Northern Lebanon’s Collin Padovani, who shot a solid +7 (79) to finish 12th overall. The Vikings were the only other county team to qualify, finishing 12th in the standings.

Meanwhile, Brett Wenger and Grant Wenger led ELCO, and Jonah Dubbs led Lebanon, but all three missed the cut for the District 3 Championship.

The next challenge for these standout golfers comes quickly — the District 3 Championship at Honey Run Golf Club begins Thursday, October 2nd.
