LebCo Girls Volleyball Season Outlook: 2025

 

 

The 2025 Girls Volleyball season is already underway, and LebCo’s programs have wasted no time showing their energy and competitiveness on the court. With the grind of the schedule just beginning, each team is looking to build momentum, showcase its strengths, and make a statement as the season unfolds. Volleyball in Lebanon County has long carried a proud reputation, and this fall promises plenty of storylines worth following.

This outlook highlights the programs that responded to our request for information, giving readers a closer look at their rosters, key players, and expectations for the months ahead. It’s designed to provide that added context as these teams battle through the ups and downs of the season, with hopes of making 2025 a memorable year.

 Cedar Crest Falcons 

Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1

Head Coach: Monica Sheaffer – 5th season

Key Returners: Caroline Heller (Jr., Middle Blocker)

Key Newcomers: Emersyn Bucher (So., Outside Hitter); Skyelar Bohn (Sr., Middle Blocker)

Outlook:
The Cedar Crest Falcons enter the 2025 season with experience and potential under the guidance of Coach Monica Sheaffer in her fifth year. Caroline Heller, a junior middle blocker and Academic Player Award recipient, leads the team with the highest kill rate and best hitting percentage, anchoring both the offense and defense at the net. Newcomers Emersyn Bucher and Skyelar Bohn add depth and versatility to the lineup. Last season saw steady improvement in every match, as the team learned from mistakes and pushed each other to grow, even when results didn’t always reflect their effort. Looking ahead, the Falcons aim to win more games while continuing to build trust, chemistry, and resilience as a cohesive unit. With a blend of talent, hard work, and determination, Cedar Crest is focused on making the most of this season and showcasing their growth as a team.

Key Newcomers: Emma Fisher (Jr., MH); Taylor Martin (Jr., Setter/Outside Hitter); Jocelyn Yoder (Jr., OH)

Outlook:
The ELCO Raiders enter the 2025 season under new leadership with Coach Wes Harpold at the helm in his first year. Anchored by a strong senior core, including Chloe Shirk, a 2nd Team Lancaster-Lebanon All-Star and 3rd Team District All-Star in the middle, along with versatile players like Abigail Ruth and Madelynn Eisenhauer-Henry, the Raiders have experience and skill across the court. Sophomores Keirra Sholl and Julia Wenger provide youthful energy and promise, while newcomers Emma Fisher, Taylor Martin, and Jocelyn Yoder add depth and versatility. With a solid foundation and high expectations, ELCO aims to compete fiercely in every match and challenge for a top spot in a very competitive section. Growth, chemistry, and consistent performance will be key as the Raiders look to make a statement in 2025.

Northern Lebanon Vikings

Head Coach: Angie Peirce – 2nd season

Outlook: The Northern Lebanon Vikings enter the 2025 season under Coach Angie Peirce in her second year, building on last year’s winning campaign. Anchored by seniors Claire Borcky, Lyndsie Bomgardner, and Emma Marlowe, along with junior Shea Moyer, the team combines experience with off-season dedication in strength and conditioning to offset the loss of last year’s large senior class. Northern Lebanon boasts a talented and committed group ready to put in the work to reach the top of their section. With a focus on consistency, effort, and team chemistry, the Vikings are determined to compete at the highest level and return to the Districts this season.
