Girls Track & Field: 2025 LebCo All-County Team

LebCo’s female Track & Field athletes brought an elite level of performance to the spring season, making it no easy task to narrow down the top contenders in each event. With so many standout competitors, this year’s voting process was one of the most competitive yet.

Following the vote count, three athletes stood out with unanimous selections: Kaddel Howard in sprints, Mackenzie Wamsher in hurdles, and Makenna Haas in jumps.

Kaddel Howard not only secured the title of Sprinter of the Year, but she was also named the 2025 LebCo Female Track & Field Athlete of the Year by LebCoSports.com for an impressive third straight year. Her dominance in the 400m at the highest levels continues to elevate her as one of the nation’s premiere athletes in the event.

The competition for Athlete of the Year featured other exceptional performers as well. Eliana Schneider, nominated in four categories and earning two State medals, showcased her remarkable versatility. Kendall Cooper closed out her high school career on a high note, collecting four medals at the PIAA State Championship Meet.

A big thank-you goes out to everyone who reviewed the nominees and cast their votes.

With the incredible talent spread across all LebCo Track & Field programs, earning a nomination alone is something to be proud of. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees!

LebCo Female Track & Field Athlete of the Year

Kaddel Howard

Entering 2025, Kaddel Howard faced the pressure of being a two-time defending State Champion in the 400m. With the Cedar Crest junior’s main focus on her marquee event, she responded to expectations by making it her most dominant season to date. The blue-chip recruit cruised to victories at the Lebanon County Championship, the Lancaster Lebanon League Championship, and the District 3 Championship. At Districts, Howard broke her own meet record by completing a full lap of Shippensburg’s track in an impressive 53.95. However, Howard hadn’t yet peaked, as she proved she had more left in the tank when she laid down the hammer in the prelims of the PIAA State Championship Meet, clocking a 53.12. The next day, she ran a 54.37, far outclassing her closest competitor, who ran a 55.68, to earn gold once again. With one year remaining in her high school career, all eyes will be on Howard to see if she can run a clean sweep of the quarter-mile, along with where she will choose to take her talents after graduating from Cedar Crest next June.
