Annville-Cleona posted a strong team round to edge Pequea Valley and move into a tie for first place through two rounds in Section 4 after a Wednesday afternoon match at Conestoga Country Club, the home course of Lancaster Country Day.
The Dutchmen posted a team score of 311, paced by Ben Allwein, who shot a 66 (−4), and Logan Francis, who added a 75. This marks the second straight match where Allwein and Francis finished 1-2 for Annville-Cleona. Aidan Lezon (82) and Will Kerwin (88) also contributed solid rounds to help the team outpace Pequea Valley.
Other top performers included Max Straub (80) of Lancaster Catholic and Felix Chen (85) of Lancaster Country Day. Lebanon was led by Trinity Leeper, the only female in the field.
After two rounds, Annville-Cleona and Pequea Valley are tied with 9-1 records in Section 4. The next match is set for September 2nd, when Lebanon will host at Lebanon Country Club.
