Northern Lebanon 11, Hershey 3
Northern Lebanon traveled to Hershey to take on the Trojans.
The game remained scoreless until the 3rd inning when the Vikings put up two runs behind an RBI single by Andrew Via and another RBI by Connor Stoltz.
The game broke open in the 4th when the Vikings scored five more to take a commanding 7-0 lead over Hershey. Blake Burdick, a freshman making his first start on the mound, helped his own cause when he started the scoring with an RBI single that scored Christian Anspach. Cousins Via and Adrian Gonzalez then registered RBI singles, followed by a two-RBI double by Stoltz.
Hershey would get two back in the Bottom 6th, but the Vikings put the game out of reach with four runs in the Top 7th. The effort was highlighted by another Stoltz two-RBI double.
Burdick was impressive in his first varsity appearance on the mound, going six strong (6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 K, 6 BB) before handing the ball off to Via (1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 3 K, 1 BB) to close it out in the 7th.
Stoltz, who is now batting .708 this season, finished the game 3-4, 2 – 2B, 4 RBI. Gonzalez collected 3 RBI and scored twice (2-4, BB). Via (2-4, 3 R, 1 RBI, BB) and Burdick (1-3, RBI, BB) also played significant roles in the victory.
Northern Lebanon (6-1) will travel to Lancaster Mennonite on Wednesday.
Lebanon 7, Hamburg 0
The Cedars went on the road on Saturday to earn their 2nd win of the young season. The victory came behind a strong pitching performance by Joshua Perugorria, who threw the complete-game shutout.
Offensively, Lebanon got things going in the Top 2nd when they took the 1-0 lead after Perugorria tripled, and then Ben DiScuillo drove him home with an RBI single.
In the 2nd, Diego Serrano tripled to score David Furjanic before Kevin Munoz singled to score Serrano. Perugorria extended the lead with an RBI single.
With the scoreboard reading 4-0 going into the 7th, the Cedars would go on to add three insurance runs. Munoz drove home two on a single before Noah Brandt hit a single during which an error led to Munoz crossing home.
Perugorria was impressive on the mound (7 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 7 K, 2 BB) and at the plate (2-3, 3B, R). Munoz showed his prowess at the plate, leading the way with 3 hits and 3 RBI (3-4, 3 RBI, 2 R, 2B). Serrano and DiScuillo were each also credited with an RBI.
Lebanon (2-5) will host ELCO on Monday afternoon. The Raiders are led by Coach Brad Kreiser, who was a member of the Lebanon coaching staff before joining ELCO last season.

Cedar Crest 6, Manheim Central 5
On Friday, Cedar Crest placed their 3-1 record on the line when they hosted Manheim Central. The game’s ending will be one that the Falcon faithful will be talking about for years.
In the Bottom 4th, Landon Kreider tripled to score Jayden Marley. However, that was the only run Cedar Crest produced through six at-bats. As a result, they faced a 5-1 deficit with just three outs remaining. That’s when things got crazy.
Leading off the 7th was Isaac Kreider, who reached on a line-drive single. Mason Cevette followed it up with a double to score Kreider. Carson DiBiaso kept the rally going with a single that scored Cevette. Now 5-3 with one man on, DiBiaso was able to swipe second despite a strikeout that the Barons hoped would cool the rally. Mason Berresford had other ideas as he hit a fly ball to center, which resulted in a double that allowed DiBiaso to hustle home.
With the score 5-4, Luke Oriel entered the game as a pinch runner. A subsequent walk to Eli Beard now meant that runners were standing on first and second. Marley made sure that they would not remain stationary for long, as the junior singled to tie the game when Oriel scored. With runners on the corners, Jackson Custer called game with a single that scored Beard.
Yes, you read that right. Down by four, the Falcons scored FIVE runs in the Bottom 7th. With this team’s knack for the dramatics, the Cedar Crest Athletic Department may need to arrange for an ambulance to be on standby for all future events.
Berresford led the way offensively for the Falcons, going 3-4 with a double. Isaac Krieder and Custer each had two hits. Berresford, Custer, Landon Kreider, Cevette, DiBiaso, and Marley each had an RBI.
Aaron Krumbine for the credit for the win, as he pitched the final two innings (2 IP, 3 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 K, 1 BB). Landon Kreider started the game, pitching the first five innings (5 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 H, 2 K, 2 BB).
Cedar Crest (4-1) will have another opportunity on Monday to test everyone’s blood pressure when they travel to play Lampeter-Strasburg.

Last year, Palmyra ended rival Hershey’s season in the 1st round of the District 3 Playoffs. On Tuesday, they met for the first time in 2025, with the Cougars putting their unblemished 3-0 record on the line against the 1-0 Trojans.
The contest was scoreless until the Bottom 3rd when Julian Meley singled to score Jack Hathaway and Adam Strohecker to make the game 2-0.
In the Bottom 5th, the Cougars added to the lead when Nate Osteen singled home Strohecker.
Hershey attempted to get things going in the Top 6th when a Danny Nelson solo homer made the score 3-1 and then subsequently loaded the bases. However, pitcher Clint Bricker, who had entered in relief of Jonathan Strohecker, calmed down to get a key strikeout to end the threat.
The Cougars got the run back in the Bottom 6th when Jack Santana doubled to scored Ty Peck, making the score 4-1 where it would remain.
Palmyra’s pitchers were once again the big story, as they combined for 11Ks. Jonathan Strohecker pitched 5 scoreless innings, collecting 8 strikeouts, issuing 5 walks, & scattering 5 hits (5 IP, 0 R, 5 H, 8 K, 1 BB). Bricker pitched the final 2 innings, giving up a run on 2 hits (2 IP, 1 R, 3 K, 3 BB).
Palmyra had 8 hits on the day. Alex Dorta led the way, going 2-3 with a steal. Adam Strohecker was 1-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 steals. Meley finished 1-3 with 2 RBI. Also playing large roles in the victory were Osteen (1-3, RBI, SB), Santana (1-1, 2B, RBI), & Hathaway (1-3, 2B, R).
