At 121 pounds, Zane Trostle had the quickest match, ending it in :39. David Nelson (:56), Wesley Doll (1:07), and Kyle Miller (1:08) were just a little behind in terms of their brevity. ELCO 47, Conrad Weiser 27

After two relatively easy wins, the Raiders had to work harder to defeat the Scouts. ELCO ended the match with eight victories, seven of which were pins. The ELCO wrestlers who pinned their opponents were Zane Trostle, Klint Miller, Samuel Bechtel, Mitchell Frederick, David Nelson, Kylee Trostle, and Wesley Doll. The longest it took any Raiders to pin their opponent was 1:35. Ashton Kriss won on a 15-0 tech fall.

ELCO 48, Garden Spot 18

The Raiders won nine matches against the Spartans. Ashton Kriss started the contest with his fourth win of the day on a pin at the 2:41 mark. He would have one of the five pins in the match, with Isaiah Musser, Mitchell Frederick, Kyle Miller, and Kylee Trostle joining him. Frederick, competing at 172 pounds, had the quickest match, pinning his opponent in 1:11.

ELCO 49, Lancaster Catholic 24

The Raiders were matched up against their Section 3 rivals for the fifth and final match of the day. Things looked grim to start, as the Crusaders won the first four matchups. However, ELCO would win the remaining nine matches to rip away Lancaster Catholic’s hope of an upset. Samuel Bechtel’s pin at the 160-pound weight class and Mitchell Frederick’s 18-4 major decision helped right the ship. At 285 pounds, Chris Bateman’s pin would give ELCO the 25-24 lead. Wesley Doll and Ashton Kriss would finish things up with pins of their own.

Next up for ELCO (7-0), they will compete at the Trojan Wars beginning Friday at Chambersburg.
