Palmyra’s Joey White Launches Grand Slam in 10-1 Rout of Caesar Rodney

Palmyra opened its day in Myrtle Beach with a 10-1 win over Caesar Rodney (Delaware) on Saturday at Grand Park Field 4, striking early and never letting up.

The Cougars grabbed control right away in the first inning when Gabe Kern ripped a two-run double to open the scoring. Kern added another RBI with a single in the second, and Julian Meley doubled home a run in the third as Palmyra built a 5-0 cushion through three innings.

The big blow came in the fourth, when Joey White launched a grand slam to center field to blow the game open. White finished with 4 RBI, while Gabe Kern paced the offense with a 3-for-3 day, 4 RBI, and a double.

On the mound, Max Woodley gave Palmyra four shutout innings, allowing 3 hits while striking out 7 and walking 1. Nate Holt worked the final inning in relief.

Palmyra finished with 8 hits, drew 8 walks, stole 6 bases, and played error-free defense in the win.

Since this was an out-of-state game, it will not appear on the District 3 Power Rankings, but the victory gives Palmyra a strong start to their 2026 campaign.

They will take to the field later in the afternoon on Saturday (4:00 pm) when they take on western Pennsylvania’s Deer Lake (District 7).
