Northern Lebanon Sweeps Columbia on Cool, Windy Afternoon at Home
Despite sunny conditions, it was a cool and windy afternoon on Tuesday for Northern Lebanon’s home dual meet against Columbia. The Vikings handled those conditions just fine.
Powered by a deep and balanced effort across the track and in the field, Northern Lebanon swept the day, with the girls rolling to a 144-1 victory and the boys following with a 109-40 win. The Vikings piled up wins in the relays, controlled the distance races, and showed off their depth in the field events to complete a strong all-around showing on their home track.
Girls Recap: Northern Lebanon 144, Columbia 1
Northern Lebanon’s girls dominated the meet from the opening events on. The Vikings won all three relays and piled up individual wins throughout the lineup, with Selah Martino leading the way on the track by winning the 100m and 400m, while Zoey Bouchard claimed first in both the 1600m and 800m. Northern Lebanon also got victories from Jobrianna Long in the 100m hurdles, Emily Marinkov in the 300m hurdles, Shea Moyer in the 200m, and Elsie Shuey in the 3200m.
