Palmyra Bounces Back with Road Win Over Gettysburg

After suffering a two-goal loss to Trinity and then a one-goal setback to Penn Manor on Wednesday, Palmyra had an opportunity to stop the slide when it traveled to Gettysburg on Thursday. The Lady Cougars responded in a big way, rolling to a 19-3 victory to improve to 5-2 on the season.

Offensively, Ava Lantz and Eloise Frailey led the way with 5 goals apiece as Palmyra broke out in a major way. Lily Ferretti and Bella Kenes each added 2 goals, helping the Lady Cougars quickly seize control.

Also finding the cage for Palmyra were Grace Frew, Megan Isett, Ella Detwiler, Sophia McGough, and Myka Lechleitner, who all scored once in the win. The balanced attack helped the Lady Cougars put together one of their strongest offensive efforts of the young season.

On the defensive end, Claire Busher contributed 3 ground balls, while Savannah Epler made 2 saves in goal as Palmyra kept Gettysburg in check.

Palmyra (5-2) will return to action on Tuesday when it hosts Bishop McDevitt.
