Cougars Show No Signs of Fatigue in Win Over Ephrata

After having its matchup with Ephrata postponed earlier in the week due to weather, Palmyra finally took the field Thursday night against Ephrata on the backend of a back-to-back after dismissing Warwick on Wednesday. The Cougars showed no signs of fatigue in a 16-5 home victory over the Mounts.

The Cougars put together another strong offensive showing to improve to 2-0 on the season. Ava Lantz led the way with 6 goals and 2 assists, while Grace Frew added 4 goals. Megan Isett finished with 2 goals and 1 assist, and Ella Detwiler also scored twice. Lily Ferretti contributed 1 goal and 2 assists, Bella Kenes added 1 goal, and Eloise Frailey chipped in 2 assists.

On the defensive end, Savannah Epler recorded 8 saves in goal, while Claire Busher helped set the tone with 3 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers.

Palmyra is now 2-0 and will travel to Northern York on Tuesday to open Mid-Penn Conference play.
