ELCO Blanks Cocalico 7-0 in Bounce Back Victory

Coming off a 7-0 loss to Conrad Weiser on Tuesday in which the Raiders battled hard, ELCO bounced back in a big way on Wednesday at home by blanking Cocalico 7-0.

The Raiders set the tone right away in singles, where they controlled the match from top to bottom. Brett Wenger earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at #1 singles, while James Dolan was dominant in a 6-0, 6-0 win at #2. Jevan Marquette followed with a 6-1, 6-0 decision at #3 singles, and Brady Habecker rounded out the singles sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #4.

ELCO kept rolling in doubles play to finish off the shutout. The #1 team of Wenger and Marquette posted an 8-1 win, while Dolan and Habecker teamed up for an 8-3 victory at #2 doubles. At #3 doubles, Reagan Grumbine and Tim Drib completed the sweep with an 8-0 result.

After a tough test the day before, the Raiders showed a strong response by regrouping quickly and turning in a complete effort across the lineup. The win moved ELCO to 2-1 on the season.

ELCO is scheduled to play at Pottsville on Thursday.
