On Friday, the Lancaster Lebanon League held the Boys Bowling Championships at Dutch Lanes, and the Lebanon County storyline started at the top of the standings.

Northern Lebanon delivered the county’s biggest punch, placing two bowlers into the day’s Top 10 finals bracket. Once in the finals, Heath DiNunzio rolled his way to a 7th-place finish, while Dominick Judkins followed with a 9th-place finish to earn Northern Lebanon’s second medal of the tournament.

Beyond the two Northern Lebanon finalists, Lebanon County had several other notable performances across the field. Cedar Crest was led by Paxton Thomas, who posted the top Falcon finish in 23rd. Cedar Crest also had two more bowlers reach the 1,000 mark with Charlie Joffy and Carson Brossman. ELCO was paced by Alexander Etnoyer, while Lebanon was led by Camron Buchmoyer, just ahead of Jaryn Beaver. Northern Lebanon’s depth also showed up beyond its two qualifiers, as Lincoln Geesaman finished as the next Viking in the standings.

After Lebanon County’s finalists were set, the top of the overall field belonged to Gavin Courtney of Garden Spot, who claimed the championship. Elizabethtown placed two in the top three behind Mason Moore in second and Jeremiah Evans in third, while Blake Garman of Hempfield finished fourth. Donegal also had a big day with Michael Berg placing fifth and Dalton Sauder taking sixth. The remaining finals spots went to Tristan Lenhart of Columbia in eighth and Aidan Sofillas of Manheim Township in tenth.

The next phase of the season is the Lancaster Lebanon League Championship Tournament that will be held Tuesday, featuring local representation from Cedar Crest and Northern Lebanon as Lebanon County bowling shifts its focus to the postseason team stage.
