PIAA State Tournament – Championship
AA: Palmyra 3, Warwick 2 (@Cumberland Valley HS)
On Saturday afternoon at Cumberland Valley High School, the Palmyra Cougars claimed their fourth PIAA State Championship, edging Warwick 3–2 in a tight, hard-fought title match.
After a scoreless first half, Warwick broke through early in the third quarter. Palmyra answered immediately, as Madelynn Witt scored just 47 seconds later off a feed from Maddie Stahl, pulling the Cougars level at 1–1.
The fourth quarter opened with another surge from Palmyra. Jovie Weaver converted on a corner play, set up by Madi Gingrich, to give the Cougars their first lead of the afternoon. Warwick responded with an equalizer of its own, but Palmyra refused to let the momentum swing. With 4:18 remaining, Witt scored her second goal of the game, securing the 3–2 advantage that would stand as the championship-clinching tally.
Palmyra controlled much of the match, finishing with a 9–4 edge in shots on goal and a dominant 16 corners. Abby Bennett made two saves to help anchor the defensive effort.
