C Team (6-0) Falcons 37, Mounts 0
D Team (1-5) Mounts 42, Falcons 25
The Falcons “B” Team fell to the Mounts by a score of 40–14 on Sunday afternoon. Ephrata opened fast, using multiple trick plays to jump out to an 8–0 lead. After a quick Falcon three-and-out, the Mounts struck again and converted the two-point try to make it 16–0.
The Falcons responded with their best drive of the day, marching the length of the field behind strong line play before Grayson Painter punched it in from three yards out. The extra point attempt failed, cutting the deficit to 16–6. Ephrata’s dual-threat quarterback continued to cause problems, scoring again on a sneak from the 1-yard line to extend the lead.
In the third quarter, the Falcons traded scores with the Mounts. On the first play of the drive, quarterback Torrence Hubbard connected with Caden Kane for a quick 60-yard touchdown strike. Ephrata answered on their next possession, then sealed the game when a backward pass was ruled a fumble and returned for a touchdown.
The Falcon “C” Team continued their dominant stretch, posting their third consecutive shutout with a 37–0 win over the Mounts.
Offensively, Cameron Eggert led the charge with two long touchdown runs. Mason Kleinfelter and Chase Reesmaneach added scores, while Alex Harter and Caiden Campos converted extra points. Mason Edwards also provided powerful runs to keep drives alive and wear down the defense.
Defensively, the Falcons were once again outstanding. Jeremiah Mercado anchored the line at defensive tackle, while Campos and Derek Pagen-Jaskolka helped shut down the Mounts’ passing attack.
The Falcon “D” Team hosted the Ephrata Mounts on Sunday afternoon under perfect football weather. The early stages saw both teams exchange scores before the Mounts pulled away to secure a 42–25 victory.
Offensively, Nico Aungst had a massive day, scoring four touchdowns and connecting on a 59-yard pass to Carson Mong, who was brought down at the 1-yard line before Aungst finished the drive himself. Carson Bugg led the offense effectively from the quarterback position, guiding several sustained drives.
Defensively, the Falcons got strong performances from Matthew Hornick, Owen Miller, Kaedon Flickinger, and Leo Avila, who all played physical football against a potent Mounts offense.
Up Next: The Falcons will travel to Hempfield to take on the Black Knights.
Myerstown Panthers
Berks Area Youth Football League Age group information
v Hamburg Hawks
Midgets (2-3-1) Myerstown 14, Hamburg 6
Mites (3-1) Myerstown 19, Hamburg 7
Mighty Mites (1-3-1) Myerstown 12, Hamburg 0
The Myerstown Midgets started on defense and, after a short Hamburg drive, stopped the Hawks on downs. The Panthers offense took over and went to work with several successful run plays behind the strong offensive line of Declan Hibshman, Kris Wetzel, Thomas Shank, Garrett Smith, Braydon Ziegler, Jackson Ruth, and Wesley Bowman. Myerstown then went to the air to cap the drive, as quarterback Corbin Showalter connected with tight end Brock Bair for a 15-yard touchdown pass. Showalter ran in the extra point to give the Panthers a 7–0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Another strong defensive stand forced a Hamburg punt, setting up the Panthers with great field position. A series of powerful runs and a big pass play pushed the ball deep into Hawks territory, where Tucker Robert finished the drive with a touchdown run. Showalter again ran in the extra point to extend the lead to 14–0. Hamburg answered with a late second-quarter touchdown, but the extra point was no good, sending the teams to halftime with Myerstown leading 14–6.
The Panthers received the second-half kickoff and picked up a pair of first downs before Hamburg intercepted a pass to stall the drive. The Hawks advanced the ball into Panther territory, but Myerstown’s defense held firm, stopping them on fourth down to end the third quarter. Myerstown’s next possession produced two more first downs before a turnover gave Hamburg one final chance. The Hawks crossed midfield, but the Panther defense once again stood tall, closing out the game as the clock hit 0:00.
The Panthers Mites showcased toughness and resilience on Saturday, gutting out a hard-fought 19–7 victory over the Hamburg Hawks to improve their record to 5–1. It was a complete team effort filled with defensive stands, clutch plays, and steady composure on the road.
The tone was set early when Luka Kirelawich recovered a fumble on the first play from scrimmage. Although the Panthers gave the ball back moments later, the defense held firm, capped by a fourth-down sack from Jackson Liskey. The running-back trio of Owen Hall, Kaiden Vincent, and Chase Clubb powered the Panthers downfield before Hallcapped the drive with a 21-yard touchdown run to open the second quarter. Vincent added the extra point for a 7–0 lead. Myerstown’s defense continued to dominate, with Liskey adding another key sack and linebacker Lucas Witmer and cornerback Chase Bair making clutch tackles. Vincent extended the lead before halftime with a 17-yard touchdown run to make it 13–0.
In the second half, the defense continued to shine. Vincent, Deaken Pyszka, Logan Witmer, Kirelawich, and Oliver Moore all contributed to a relentless pass rush that repeatedly stopped the Hawks in their tracks. Hamburg finally broke through late in the fourth quarter with a long touchdown run to make it 13–7, but the Panthers answered in championship fashion. On a critical drive, Pyszka delivered a key block on the edge to spring Hall for a big gain, and moments later quarterback Bennett Staudt hit Vincent on a deep corner route for 24 yards. Three plays later, Vincent found a seam and sprinted 25 yards to the end zone to seal the victory.
This was a gritty team victory defined by constant offensive and defensive adjustments that countered the Hawks’ scheme. The Panthers proved their adaptability and toughness once again—another statement performance as they continue their push through the season.
The Panthers Mighty Mites broke through in Week 6 with a dominant 12–0 shutout victory over the Hamburg Hawks. From start to finish, the Panthers controlled the game on both sides of the ball, showcasing explosive runs, disciplined defense, and the steady teamwork that’s been building all season.
Myerstown set the tone early, marching down the field on the opening drive behind powerful blocking and a 35-yard burst from Lee Keppley. The drive was capped by a Gabe Vincent touchdown to give the Panthers the early edge. In the second quarter, Keppley ripped off another big 30-yard run, setting up quarterback Cade Brown, who called his own number on a draw play and punched it into the end zone. Myerstown took a 12–0 lead into halftime and never looked back.
The second half turned into a defensive showcase. The Panthers held firm throughout the third quarter, shutting down Hamburg’s attempts to gain momentum. In the fourth, the Hawks threatened late, but Myerstown’s defense slammed the door—forcing and recovering a fumble to preserve the shutout.
It was a complete team effort and a well-earned first win of the season for the Mighty Mites, who improved to 1–3–1. With confidence growing and momentum finally on their side, the Panthers will look to build on this strong performance heading into next week’s matchup.
Up Next: The Midgets and Mites will be on a bye. The Mighty Mites will visit the Muhlenberg Muhls.

Both Red Land and the Northern Lebanon Midgets entered Saturday’s matchup undefeated at 7–0, setting the stage for a hard-fought battle between two of the league’s top teams. Titus Feagley added the extra point to give Northern Lebanon an early 8–0 lead. Later in the first quarter, the Vikings surrendered a safety when Sam Kline was brought down in the end zone, cutting the lead to 8–2.
From there, it was a defensive battle on both sides, with each team trading stops and fighting for field position. Defensively, Blake Yocum, Greyson McQuaide, and Blayze Kimm led the charge with key tackles, while Anspach added an interception and Yocum recovered a fumble. Northern Lebanon held firm down the stretch to secure the 8–2 victory — remaining unbeaten on the season.
The Smurf Vikings faced a tough and experienced Red Land team on Saturday. While the Vikings struggled to gain traction on offense, they gained valuable game experience and continued to grow as a team. Defensively, the Vikings got stronger as the game went on, with effort plays from Caleb Figueroa, Liam Lindquist, and Cooper Wonderley showing their determination. Bacon Bortz came up with another takeaway to highlight the defensive effort.

Palmyra Cougars
CFA – Federal Conference Age group information
v Mountville Black Knights / East Pennsboro
Midgets (1-6) Exbition v East Pennsboro / 1-0 forfeit over Mountville
Ponies (6-1) Black Knights 27, Palmyra 0
Peewees (1-5) Black Knights 34, Palmyra 6
Smurfs – Exhibition/Skill Development
With Mountville not fielding a team at the Midget level, the Palmyra Midgets hosted East Pennsboro’s Panthers for an exhibition matchup. Both teams were in similar scheduling situations and took the opportunity to square off at Belair Field. East Pennsboro’s triple-threat rushing attack caused early trouble, but the Cougars made key defensive adjustments to contain it. Several players stood out for Palmyra: Maurice “Mo” Skipper, Marcus Henry, and Owen Czuday made big plays throughout the game, while Landen O’Connell excelled defensively. Colstin Robinson came up with a crucial interception to halt a Panther drive, and Eli DiGuardia consistently pressured the quarterback. The exhibition ended 32–6 in favor of East Pennsboro, but officially goes down as a 1–0 forfeit win for the Cougars.
The Palmyra Pony squad squared off with a talented and athletic Mountville team that came in battle-tested. The Cougars were warned not to take the Black Knights lightly, and the game proved to be a challenge from start to finish. Derek Doster and Blake Yoder led the offensive attack, while Wylden Conklin, Ethan Plasterer, and Marcello Martinet made several key stops on defense. Despite their best efforts, Palmyra fell 27–0 for their second loss of the season.
The Peewee Cougars faced a tough challenge against a one-loss Mountville squad. Aden Prichard gave Palmyra an early spark with a quick touchdown, but the Black Knights’ physicality proved difficult to match as the game wore on. Despite strong effort from the entire roster, the Cougars ultimately fell 34–6, but showed resilience against one of the league’s top teams.
Despite being down three players due to illness, the Cougar Smurfs showed plenty of heart against Mountville. The small but determined squad banded together, with several players stepping into unfamiliar positions to help their team. The young offensive line began to find its rhythm, earning multiple first downs and moving the ball effectively. Though still developing, this group continues to show steady improvement each week as they come together as a true team.
Up Next: Both the Midget and Pony teams remain in playoff contention as they head into the final two weeks of the regular season, with matchups against Central Penn’s Crusaders and Harrisburg’s Cougars still ahead.
