Help us decide which male and female athlete should be honored for their outstanding efforts during last week’s local high school sports action. While you may have a favorite school or athlete already, we still encourage you to read through the lists below and then click on the link to vote.
Voting will remain open until Thursday at 10 pm.
While athletes can be nominated multiple weeks, the winners will be removed and updates will be provided as the season progresses.
While this may be a vote and emotions can run high, this is intended to bring attention to some of the best performances from our local student-athletes.
Nominations, which are made working with the schools, are listed below in alphabetical order.
Please read about each nominee, celebrate their accomplishment, and then go vote who you feel is most deserving of this week’s honor.
The winners will be announced at the end of the week.

Female Nominees
Bryn Brandt (Cedar Crest / Fr.) – Golf: The freshman standout, who earlier claimed the District 3 Girls Golf Championship, finished 8th at the PIAA State Championships among the AAA field. Brandt also contributed to Cedar Crest’s 6th-place finish in the team competition, punctuating her season with an eagle on the final hole.
Zoey Bouchard (Northern Lebanon / So.) – Cross Country: The sophomore earned a trip to the PIAA State Championships with a strong performance at the District 3 Class AA meet. Bouchard ran a time of 21:19.6 to finish 24th overall, capping off a consistent and impressive season for the Vikings.
Ava Seifert (ELCO / Jr.) – Soccer: The junior defender has been a key part of the Raiders’ strong defensive unit all season. In the District 3 Class 3A playoffs, Seifert anchored the back line in a 2-0 win over Shippensburg and a hard-fought 1-0 overtime loss to Donegal, helping ELCO battle among the top teams in the district.
Mackenzie Stellmach (Annville-Cleona / Sr.) – Cross Country: The senior led the Dutchmen girls with a 3rd-place finish at the District 3 Class AA Championships, finishing in 19:14.8. Alongside her sister Lucy Stellmach (8th) and teammate Caitlin Shay (14th), she helped Annville-Cleona earn runner-up team honors and qualify for the PIAA State Championship Meet.
Maddie Stahl (Palmyra / So.) – Field Hockey: The sophomore continued her stellar play, scoring five goals across two District 3 playoff wins for the Cougars. Stahl recorded a hat trick in Saturday’s 7-0 quarterfinal win over New Oxford after scoring twice in a 9-0 victory over Spring Grove, helping Palmyra advance to the district semifinals.
Male Nominees
Cornelius Cummings (Palmyra / Sr.) – Cross Country: The senior delivered a standout performance at the District 3 Championship Meet, running a time of 15:59 to place 9th in the AAA race. With his top-10 finish, Cummings earned a spot at the PIAA State Championship Meet, joining teammate Joshua Miller, who finished 29th.
Brinley Donmoyer (ELCO / Jr.) – Football: The junior quarterback continued to lead the Raider offense, scoring two key touchdowns in a rivalry win over Northern Lebanon. Running the veer/midline attack to perfection, Donmoyer broke free for scoring runs of 26 and 64 yards, helping propel ELCO into the District 3 Class 4A playoffs.
Luke Hentz (Northern Lebanon / Sr.) – Cross Country: The senior turned in a strong effort at the District 3 Championship Meet, finishing 11th in the Class AA race with a time of 16:36.5. Hentz’s performance, along with top-25 finishes from Thaddeus Raub and Anthony Frederick, helped the Vikings finish 3rd overall and qualify for the PIAA State Championship Meet.
David Moran (Annville-Cleona / Sr.) – Cross Country: The senior standout finished 2nd overall in the District 3 Class AA Championship with a time of 16:09.7, leading the Dutchmen to their third straight team title. Moran was joined in the top 10 by teammates Oliver Funck (4th) and Benjamin Boyd (9th), as Annville-Cleona once again punched its ticket to States.
Dylan Ramsey (Cedar Crest / Sr.) – Golf: The senior capped off an outstanding high school golf career with a 6th-place finish at the PIAA State Championships, earning a medal for the third time in his career. Ramsey then led the Falcons to a 6th-place finish in the State Team Championship, closing his season as one of the area’s most decorated golfers.
