On Wednesday, Warwick’s Outlook Golf Course, a challenging par-70 layout, hosted a thrilling Section 1 golf match that saw Cedar Crest and Manheim Township continue their fierce rivalry. Coming off a tie for first place in their previous match at Four Seasons, both teams showcased their talent, but Manheim Township edged out Cedar Crest by a single stroke, posting a team score of 304 to the Falcons’ 305.
Leading the charge for Cedar Crest were Dylan Ramsey and Carson DiBiaso, who finished 1-3 individually. Ramsey carded an impressive 72 (+2), securing the top spot, while DiBiaso followed closely with a 75 (+5), tying for third. The Falcons’ depth was evident with Bryn Brandt contributing a solid 76 (+6), tying for fifth. Other Cedar Crest golfers included Jackson Seidel with an 82 (+12), Davin Kolter with an 83 (+13), and Drew Gebhard with an 87 (+17).
Despite the strong performances, Manheim Township’s top golfers, Carter Appleby (75, +5) and Joe Bilson (76, +6), combined with their team’s depth, including Charlie Sheehan (76, +6) and Ian Huber (77, +7), secured the narrow victory.
The top 10 individual finishers highlighted the competitive field. Warwick’s Piper Smith took second with a 74 (+4), while Ephrata’s Makenna Heckman joined Brandt, Bilson, and Sheehan in a four-way tie for fifth at 76 (+6). Warwick’s Mason Harnly rounded out the top 10 with a 78 (+8), showcasing the talent across multiple teams.
Cedar Crest (13-2) and Manheim Township (14-1) remain neck-and-neck in the league standings. The Falcons will look to capitalize on their home-field advantage in a rescheduled match at Fairview next Thursday. Before that, both teams will face off again on September 9, when Ephrata hosts at Fox Chase, setting the stage for another critical showdown in this tightly contested race.
