Owen Fisher

New Covenant senior Owen Fisher has been on a tear to start the 2025 soccer season, continuing to lead the Flames’ attack in every match. Fisher reached a major milestone on September 12th, surpassing 100 career points with two goals and two assists in a key victory over Annville-Cleona. He also recorded an assist against West Shore on September 2nd and a goal against Lititz Christian on September 4th, helping New Covenant maintain a strong early-season presence. His consistent performance earned him recognition as LebCo Athlete of the Week.
Fisher’s motivation has been clear from the opening whistle. “Recently I’ve been extremely motivated to reach my 100th career point, which has led me to a streak of high goal-scoring and assisting games,” he said. Through the first eight games this year, Fisher tallied 12 goals and 10 assists, demonstrating the balance of scoring and creating opportunities for his teammates.
He sets ambitious goals for the season. “One goal I have is to score 30+ goals and have 20+ assists. Another goal, which is my main focus, is to win the CCAC for the first time for New Covenant,” Fisher said. On the field, he works to spark the offense, creating chances for others while finishing opportunities that come his way.

Fisher’s leadership and dedication have been shaped by his past accomplishments. A CCAC first-team all-conference selection and NCCS Offensive Player of the Year last season, he follows in the footsteps of his older brother James, who also earned Athlete of the Week honors and led the team to its first district championship. “I wouldn’t be able to do anything I do without my parents, coaches, and teammates,” Fisher said.
Off the field, Fisher balances his athletic commitments with his faith and community involvement. He consistently attends church and youth group, enjoys watching the Premier League, and is a diehard Gunner—an avid supporter of Arsenal. His focus on teamwork and improvement both on and off the field reflects his commitment to personal growth and to seeing his teammates succeed.
After defeating Covenant Christian Academy on September 12, the Flames improved to 6-1-1, with Fisher continuing his scoring tear by adding three goals and two assists in the match. With his talent, work ethic, and leadership, Owen Fisher has established himself as a driving force for New Covenant this season. We congratulate him on being named Athlete of the Week and wish him and the Flames the best as they pursue a CCAC Championship and District 3 Playoff berth.
