On Saturday, Boys Wrestling teams from around Central Pennsylvania competed in the District 3 Sectional round of the postseason. The six teams from Lebanon County were distributed across three locations based on their classifications and placements.
When the wrestling concluded, thirty-nine local athletes returned home with medals—six of which were gold, marking the wrestlers who became Section Champions. Additionally, twenty-eight athletes from Lebanon County secured their spots for the next round.
A standout performer of the weekend was Northern Lebanon’s Aaron Seidel, who achieved his fourth consecutive Section Championship. With this victory, he notched his 196th career win and is now just four wins shy of breaking the PIAA All-Time Wins Record.
The next stage of the postseason varies based on the AA/AAA classification. Annville-Cleona and Northern Lebanon will participate in the AA District 3 Championships, while the AAA wrestlers will advance to the South Central Regionals. Both events are scheduled for this coming weekend.

Girls Wrestling: At Section Championships, LebCo Wrestlers win Sixteen Medals, Three Gold
AA
Section 2
The Section 2 (AA) Boys Wrestling Tournament was held at CD East High School. Fifteen teams from across District 3 participated, including LebCo teams Northern Lebanon & Annville-Cleona. In each weight class, the top eight wrestlers medaled with the top six advancing to Districts.
The Vikings finished 3rd overall, raking in 12 medals. Their medal haul included two gold medals won by Aaron Seidel & Sam Wolford. Seidel now has 196 wins, just four away from breaking the PIAA all-time career record. As a team Northern Lebanon advanced eleven wrestlers to the District 3 Championships.
Annville will advance five wrestlers to Districts. Blaine Leitz led the Dutchmen with a silver medal win.
Bishop McDevitt, led by Annville-native Greyson Music, won the team title. Music was one of six gold medalists for the Crusaders.
The District 3 Championships will be held this Saturday, February 22nd at CD East High School.

AAA
Section 1
The District 3 Section 1 AAA Championships were held at Governor Mifflin Intermediate School. In total there were sixteen teams competing, including three hailing from LebCo: ELCO, Lebanon, & Cedar Crest. The top six wrestlers from each weight class medaled, while only the top four qualified to compete at Regionals.
ELCO, the LL Section 3 Champions, finished 3rd as a team. The Raiders brought home eight medals, including gold medal victories by Klint Miller & Zane Trostle. They qualfiied six wrestlers for Regionals.
Lebanon saw three of its wrestlers make their way to the podium, highlight with a 3rd place finish by Erick Rivera Garcia. For Rivera Garcia, the bronze medal also guarantees his spot at the Regional Championships.
Cedar Crest’s Eddiel Nunez earned a 6th place medal.
Wilson won bragging rights as the tournament’s top team.
The South Central Regional Wrestling Championships will be held at Spring Grove High School on Friday, February 21st & Saturday, February 22nd.

Section 2
The District 3 Section 2 AAA Championships were held at Hempfield High School. Palmyra was one of fifteen teams taking part in the competition. The Cougars finished 3rd overall.
The top six wrestlers from each weight class medaled, while only the top four qualified to compete at Regionals.
Eight Palmyra wrestlers claimed their spots on the podium. Two wrestlers, Jason Foutz & Tyler Detwiler, made the climb to the top spot where they were awarded gold medals. In total, five members of the Palm City Wrestling Team will be competing at Regionals.
Donegal edged Central Dauphin for the Section Championship. Donegal was aided the fact that Foutz’s win in the finals came at the expense of a Central Dauphin wrestler.
The South Central Regional Wrestling Championships will be held at Spring Grove High School on Friday, February 21st & Saturday, February 22nd.
