On Sunday morning, the Lebanon Valley College Football Team took a break from practice and convened to serve a greater purpose. It was the 8th straight year that the team organized to give back to the local community by helping to cleanup local waterways. To maximize their impact, the team was split between its offensive and defensive units. The offense was sent to Stoever’s Dam Park while the defense conducted another cleanup along Freeman Street, just north of Lehman Street in Lebanon City. They were assisted in these effforts by Lebanon’s Bureau of Public Works to remove unwanted debris.
While they have been putting in long days of practice since reporting to camp last week, this type of bonding goes deeper in building connections that will help the Dutchmen as they work towards their 3rd straight postseason appearance that will be led by a veteran corps of talented athletes. Included in the group are homegrown players that include Nick Morder (Palmyra ’20), Jeremy Bours (Annville-Cleona ’20), and senior quarterback Braden Bohannon (ELCO ’21).
Below are pictures of the Defensive unit’s efforts, graciously provided by team photographer Julie Beidler.
We have also included their 2024 schedule below, so you can follow the Dutchmen all season. We wish them the best of luck!
